Dignity and freedom of citizens means a democracy form of government. Explanation: Democracy bestows freedom along with dignity to every individual. Democracy strengthens the claims where discriminated groups do not lack in terms of opportunities or facilities. Dignity is the right of a person to be valued and respected for their own sake, and to be treated ethically. ... It is of significance in morality, ethics, law and politics as an extension of the Enlightenment-era concepts of inherent, inalienable rights.

Power sharing is desirable because it helps to reduce the possibility of conflict between the various social groups. Since social conflict often leads to violence and political instability, power sharing is a good way to ensure political stability. Imposing the will of the majority community over the minority may look like an attractive option in the short run, but in the long run, it undermines the unity of the nation. The tyranny of the majority is not just oppressive for the minority; it often brings ruin to the majority as well.

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 2 months ago

Democracy does not rule simply by majority opinion. ‘Majority’ does not mean a community in terms of religion, race or linguistic group. Rule by majority means that in case of every decision, or in case of every election, different people and groups can form a majority.

Economic Inequality
It means split of society between rich and poor classes.
The rich enjoy all possible facility of life and lead a very good standard of life.
Whereas the poor people even do not meet the meals of two times in a day. They are unable to fulfill even their basic necessities.
Harm of Economic Inequality
Economic inequality is harmful for the success of democracy as it intensify the ego among the rich people while inferiority complex among the poor, and emotional outburst are seen in strikes, murder, decoity and class conflicts.

The most basic outcome of democracy is that it produces a government that is accountable to the citizens, and responsive to the needs and expectations of the citizens.

Democratic government can apparently be less efficient than a non-democratic government. This happens because a non-democratic government does not need to arrive at consensus among a diverse set of people. Democracy functions on the basis of deliberation and negotiation and hence decisions are often delayed. But this does not mean that a democratic government is less efficient.

Meghna Thapar 5 years, 2 months ago

Democracy Produces Accountable, Responsive and Legitimate Government. People have the right to choose their rulers and they have control over their rulers. Citizens can participate in decision making.

The expected outcomes of democracy are as follows:

(i) A government that is chosen and accountable to the people is called democratic government.

(ii) A government that is responsive to the needs of the people.

(iii) Economic growth and development reducing all forms of inequality and end of poverty.

(iv) Accommodating all social diversities.

(v) Ensuring the dignity and freedom of the individuals.

Hari singh, knew that his benefactor Anil knew everything but he didn't show him in order to appreciate for his honesty to come back to home and also for returning stolen money. He correctly got about Anil that he very well knew if a juvenile or an adolescent came out of jail they become a hardened criminal which is hard to reform. Any common person in place of him would first try to punish thiefs and then they hand over to police. But Anil didn't do this as he wants him to realise. This also worked as hari singh heart was sinked when Anil gave him 50 rupees as daily employment. Hope u will find this helpful ?

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 2 months ago

Anil succesfully addressed the situation as when he gave Hari Singh the wet note Hari understood that anil must have got to know that Hari had tried to rob him but wasn't saying anything. So even without moving his lips nor his eyes he was able to address the situation to Hari. He was able to tell Hari that he knew.

Given that

Charge,q = 1 C

Potential difference V = 6 v

To find out

We need to find the energy given to each coulomb of charge passing through a 6 V battery

Solution

Principle of conservation of energy

  • From the principle of conservation of energy, we know that the work done by the system is equal to the energy supplied to that system.
  • The energy given to each coulomb of charge is equal to the amount of work required to move it.

Formula

Potential difference (V)= Work done (W) / Charge (q)

On rearranging the above formula we get

Work done (W) = Potential difference X Charge

Put the value of V and q in the above equation, we get

Work done (w) = 6 X 1

Work done = 6 Joules

Therefore, the energy is given to each coulomb of charge passing through a 6 v battery is 6 J.

Frédéric Sorrieu vision of World

  • The first print depicts the people of Europe and America marching in a long train. On marching when they pass by the Statue of Liberty they pay homage to the statue. The torch of Enlightenment was carried by a female figure in one hand and the Charter of the Rights of Man in the other.
  • On the earth in the foreground lie the shattered remains of the symbols of absolutist institutions.
  • In Sorrieu’s utopian vision, the people of the world are categorised as distinct nations. The groups of categories are identified through their flags and national costume.
  • The procession was conducted. The United States and Switzerland headed the procession, followed by France and Germany. The German people are followed by the people of Austria, the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, Lombardy, Poland, England, Ireland, Hungary and Russia.
  • He believed that from the heavens above, Christ, saints and angels gaze upon the scene.
  • These symbols have been used by the artist to symbolise fraternity among the nations of the world.

The early emergence of a popular patriotic nationalism took place in the mid-18th century, and was actively promoted by the British government and by the writers and intellectuals of the time. National symbols, anthems, myths, flags and narratives were assiduously constructed by nationalists and widely adopted. The rise of nationalism in Europe initiated with the Spring of Nations in 1848. According to Leon-Baradat, nationalism calls on people to identify with the interests of their national group and to support the creation of a state – a nation-state – to support those interests.

Griffin was a brilliant scientist as he made a rare drug which vanishes or make human body transparent and he is daring to as he swallowed those drugs in order to test it and also for taking revenge. This shows that on contrary he was a lawless person as he set his landlord's house on fire. He also done an act of theft in London, at theatre. He took all accessories like goggles , fake mustache, specs etc. to cover him in order to become visible He is rude, short tempered and anxious because when Ms.hall asked the reason how could he enter in locked room he was not able to control him and revealed his truth that he is a scientist. These all reasons show that Griffin brilliance as a man of science fades before his darker traits.

Rishika Kundu 5 years, 2 months ago

Griffin misused his scientific discoveries for his selfish evil interest .After quarrel with his landlord he set his house on Fire to seek Revenge but mankind & science should complement each other .science becomes a waste it is not utilised for betterment and welfare of mankind. due to this reason Griffin brilliance as a man of science fades vefore his darker traits.

The situation of the country without political parties will be bad because if a country face some problems then if the ruling party cannot do anything then the other opposition party can help the people to make the country in a better way. If there were no political parties every candidate would be independent but this situation would be worse cause no one will be thinking alike and it would lead to chaos. So our country will be in a situation where no one will be on a common platform which will end up to diversion.

In biology, regeneration is the process of renewal, restoration, and tissue growth that makes genomes, cells, organisms, and ecosystems resilient to natural fluctuations or events that cause disturbance or damage. Once wounded, their cells become activated and restore the organs back to their pre-existing state. Planaria can be cut into pieces, and each piece can regenerate into a complete organism. Cells at the location of the wound site proliferate to form a blastema that will differentiate into new tissues and regenerate the missing parts of the piece of the cut planaria.

Like the names imply, the only difference between an ordered list and an unordered list, is that an ordered list will have its items ordered by number, whereas unordered lists will have just bullet points. Making your own unordered list is straightforward. The main difference between an ordered list and an unordered list is that with an ordered list, the order in which items are presented is important. Because the order matters, instead of using a dot as the default list item marker, an ordered list uses numbers.

The speed of light in water is 2.25 × 108 m/s. If the speed of light in vacuum be 3 × 108 m/s, calculate the refractive index of water.

SOLUTION

Given:
Speed of light in water = 2.25 × 108 m/s
Speed of light in vacuum = 3 × 108 m/s
Refractive index of water = ?
Applying the formula for refractive index, we get:
Refractive index of a medium = (Speed of light in vacuum) / (Speed of light in the medium)
For water:
Refractive index of water = (Speed of light in vacuum) / (Speed of light in water)
= (3 × 108) / (2.25 × 108)
= 1.33
Thus, the refractive index of water is 1.33.
