ANSWER:- You an split and merge cells in a table. Splitting cells is similar to adding a row or column, but it all takes place in one cell instead of a group of cell.Merging cells, however, is similar to deleting a cell and then adjoining it with a neighbouring cell.

Let r m be the radius and l m be the slant height of the cone, then
r = 2 m, and l = 2.8 m
Let r1 m be the radius and h m be the height of the cylinder, then
Now, r1 – 2 m and h = 2.1 m
Area of the canvas used
= CSA of cone + CSA of cylinder
= πrl + 2 πr1h
= πrl + 2πrh [r = r1]
= π r (l + 2h) m

and Cost of canvas of the tent
= Rs. (500 x 44)
= Rs. 22,000.

(i) The scrapping of Corn Laws lead to free trade of food grains.
(ii) After the abolition of Corn Laws, food could be imported into Britain more cheaply than it could be produced within the country.
(iii) British farmers were unable to compete with imports. Vast areas of land were now left uncultivated, and thousands of men and women were thrown out of work. They flocked to the cities or migrated overseas
(iv) Increase in demand due to fall in prices and increase in income leads to mismatch between demand and supply of food grains.
(v) Many countries of the world like Russia. America and Australia and some eastern European countries started exporting food grains to Britain which gave further set back to the local producers.

The reasons for the alienation of Tamil People :-

1) The clause of the Act of 1956 introduced by the Sri Lankan Government made the Tamil people alienated in the country. According to the Act, Sinhalese was declared the only national language of Sri Lanka. The Tamil people felt that none of the major political parties were sensitive to their language and culture.
2) They also felt that the constitution and government policies denied them equal political rights.
3) Discrimination against them in getting jobs and other opportunities by ignoring their interests was another reason of their alienation.
4) The Sri Lankan Government followed preferential policies that favoured the Sinhali applicants for university positions and government jobs.
5) The Constitution stipulated that the State shall protect and foster Buddhism.

Torricelli’s law

  • Torricelli law states that the speed of flow of fluid from an orifice is equal to the speed that it would attain if falling freely for a distance equal to the height of the free surface of the liquid above the orifice.
  • Consider any vessel which has an orifice (slit)filled with some fluid.
  • The fluid will start flowing through the slit and according to Torricelli law the speed with which the fluid will flow is equal to the speed with which a freely falling bodyattains such that the height from which the body falls is equal to the height of the slit from the free surface of the fluid.
  • Let the distance between the free surface and the slit = h
  • Velocity with which the fluid flows is equal to the velocity with which a freely falling body attains if it is falling from a height h.

Derivation of the Law:-

  • Let A1= area of the slit (it is very small), v1= Velocity with which fluid is flowing out.
    • A2=Area of the free surface of the fluid,v2=velocity of the fluid at the free surface.
  • From Equation of Continuity, Av=constant.Therefore A1v1 = A2v2.
    • From the figure, A2>>>A1, This implies v2<<v1(This meansfluid is at rest on the free surface), Therefore v2~ 0.
  • Using Bernoulli’s equation,
    • P+ (1/2) ρ v2+ρgh = constant.
  • Applying Bernoulli’s equation at the slit:
    • Pa+(1/2) ρ v12+ρgy1(Equation 1) where Pa=atmospheric pressure,y1=height of the slit from the base.
  • Applying Bernoulli’s equation at the surface:
  • P+ρgy2(Equation 2) where as v2=0 therefore (1/2) ρ v12=0, y2=height of the free surface from the base.
  • By equating(1) and (2),
  • Pa+ (1/2) ρ v12+ ρgy1= P+ρgy2
  • (1/2) ρ v12 = (P-Pa) + ρg(y2-y1)
  • =(P-Pa) ρgh (where h=(y2-y1))
  • v12=2/ρ [(P-Pa) + ρgh]
  • Therefore v1=√2/ρ [(P-Pa) + ρgh].This is the velocity by which the fluid will come out of the small slit.
  • v1 is known as Speed of Efflux. This means the speed of the fluid outflow.

Torricelli’s law. The speed of efflux, v1,from the side of the container is given bythe application of Bernoulli’s equation.

Case1:- The vessel is not closed it is opento atmosphere that means P=Pa.

  • Therefore v1=√2gh.This is the speed of a freely falling body.
  • This is accordance to Torricelli’s law which states that the speed by which the fluid is flowing out of a small slit of a container is same as the velocity of a freely falling body.
  • Case2:-Tank is not open to atmosphere but P>>Pa.
    • Therefore 2gh is ignored as it is very very large, hence v1= √2P/ρ.
    • The velocity with which the fluid will come out of the container is determined by the Pressure at the free surface of the fluid alone.

Liquids do not have a definite shape. They take the shape of the container in which they are placed. However, like solids, liquids have a definite volume. This means they take up the same amount of space in any container in which they are placed.

Let 7-2√3 as rational number.

Then,7-2√3=a/b,where a and b are coprime.

Therefore,-2√3=a/b-7

√3=a/-2b -7

Here,a/-2b -7 is a rational number .

We know that √3 is an irrational number.

Hence,our assumption is not correct.

Therefore,7-2√3 is an irrational number.

Miller Urey Experiment Stanley L. Muller and Harold C. Urey performed an experiment to describe the origin of life on earth. They were of the idea that the early earth’s atmosphere was able to produce amino acids from inorganic matter. The two biologists made use of methane, water, hydrogen, and ammonia which they considered were found in the early earth’s atmosphere. The chemicals were sealed inside sterile glass tubes and flasks connected together in a loop and circulated inside the apparatus. One flask is half-filled with water and the other flask contains a pair of electrodes. The water vapour was heated and the vapour released was added to the chemical mixture. The released gases circulated around the apparatus imitating the earth’s atmosphere. The water in the flask represents the water on the earth’s surface and the water vapour is just like the water evaporating from lakes, and seas. The electrodes were used to spark the fire to imitate lightning and storm through water vapour. The vapours were cooled and the water condensed. This condensed water trickles back into the first water flask in a continuous cycle. Miller and Urey examined the cooled water after a week and observed that 10-15% of the carbon was in the form of organic compounds. 2% of carbon had formed 13 amino acids. Yet, the Miller and Urey experiments were condemned by their fellow scientists.........hope this helps uhh ?

STANLEY LLOYD MILLER (March 7, 1930 – May 20, 2007) was an American chemist who made landmark experiments in the origin of life by demonstrating that a wide range of vital organic compounds can be synthesized by fairly simple chemical processes from inorganic substances. In 1952 he carried out the Miller–Urey experiment, which showed that complex organic molecules could be synthesised from inorganic precursors. The experiment was widely reported, and provided support for the idea that the chemical evolution of the early Earth had led to the natural synthesis of chemical building blocks of life from inanimate inorganic molecules. He has been described as the "father of prebiotic chemistry".

Actually sun gives us no white light but when it rains and at the same time the sun is seen only then sun's light passes through the tiny droplets of water falling and it is said that when white light passes through any transperant object like glass,etc...then it forms VIBGYOR meaning v-violet i-indigo b-blue g-green y-yellow o-orange r-red nd hence forms rainbow.

Sakshi Jagtap 5 years, 2 months ago (8544477)

When the Sun is shining and there is rain as well you may see a rainbow in the sky! ... Rainbows appear in seven colors because water droplets break white sunlight into the seven colors of the spectrum (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) bcuz each color is refracted differently, each bends at a different angle.....hope this helps uhh?
