Modern Farming Methods :-

Modern farming methods refer to the agricultural production system characterized by the high inputs of capital, labour, heavy usage of farm machinery such as threshers, harvesters, winnowing machine, heavy usage of technology such as selective breeding, pesticides, chemical fertilizers and insecticides.

Drawbacks of modern farming methods :-

1) Modern farming generally includes the use of chemical fertilizers which results in decrease in soil fertility year by year.

2) About half of the nitrate in chemical fertilizers used on crops is dissolved by the rain. The dissolved nitrate runs off the fields to contaminate water courses.

  2. People in Burzahom lived in rectangular houses.

  3. Chirand is a site in Kash mir.

  4. Jadeite, found in Daojali Hading, may have been brought from China.

  2. People in Burzahom lived in rectangular houses. False

  3. Chirand is a site in Kashmir. False

  4. Jadeite, found in Daojali Hading, may have been brought from China. True

  • 1 answers

Gaurav Seth 5 years ago (2898529)

True

Daojali Hading is a site on the hills near the Brahmaputra Valley, close to routes leading into China and Myanmar. Here stone tools, including mortars and pestles, have been found. These indicate that people were probably growing grain and preparing food from it. Other finds include jadeite, a stone that may have been brought from China.

False:

Chirand does not belong to the state of Kashmir.
Chirand is in present-day Bihar. Here archaeologists found bones of buffalo and ox. They also found burnt remains of grains such as wheat, green gram and barley at Chirand.

  • 1 answers

Gaurav Seth 5 years ago (2898529)

False

Archaeologists have found traces of huts or houses at some sites. For instance, in Burzahom (in present-day Kashmir) people built pit-houses, which were dug into the ground, with steps leading into them. These may have provided shelter in cold weather.

Types Of Polynomials

Polynomials can be classified based on:
a) Number of terms
b) Degree of the polynomial.

Types of polynomials based on the number of terms

a) Monomial – A polynomial with just one term. Example: 2x, 6x2, 9xy

b) Binomial – A polynomial with two terms. Example: 4x2+x, 5x+4

a) Trinomial – A polynomial with three terms. Example: x2+3x+4

Types of Polynomials based on Degree

Linear Polynomial

A polynomial whose degree is one is called a linear polynomial.
For example, 2x+1 is a linear polynomial.

Quadratic Polynomial

A polynomial of degree two is called a quadratic polynomial

Cubic Polynomial

A polynomial of degree three is called a cubic polynomial.
For example, 2x3+5x2+9x+15 is a cubic polynomial.

LINKAGE AND RECOMBINATION

  • Morgan carried out several dihybrid crosses in Drosophila to study genes that were ***-linked.
  • Morgan hybridized yellow-bodied, white-eyed females to brown-bodied, red-eyed males and intercrossed those F1
  • According to him, two genes did not segregate independent of each other and F2 ratio deviated from 9:3:3:1. This concluded that genes are linked. This process is called linkage.
  • Recombination is the rearrangement of genetic material. The generation of non-parental gene combination during dihybrid cross is called recombination. When genes are located on same chromosome, they are tightly linked and show less linkage. This is responsible for variation.

Resistance is the property of a conductor, which determines the quantity of current that passes through it when a potential difference is applied across it.

A resistor is a electrical componet with a predetermined electrical resistance, like 1 ohm, 10 ohms 100 ohms 10000 ohms etc.

Depending on how much current you want to pass through a circuit, you would design the circuit with the required resistors.

When it comes actual circuit designing, dealing with components or physical board designing, these two words become interchangeable. For example, if we say "a resistor of 22 ohms" or we say "a resistance of 22 ohms", both are accpetable.

Given - x²+6x+10

Find - To show the equation has no zero.

Answer - The discriminant is used to check the expression has one solution or does not have solutions.

If the answer is zero, then equation will have one solution. If the answer is negative, then equation will have two imaginery numbers as solutions.

The discriminant is - b²-4ac.

Keeping the values in equation - =6²-4*1*10

=36-40

=-4.

The solution is negative, which is not zero. Hence, it will have two imaginery numbers.
