I think expression is 3x^3-5x^2-11x-3 Let P(x) = 3x^3-5x^2-11x-3 P(-1) = 0 hence (x+1) is a factor of P(x) Divide P(x)=3x^3-5x^2-11x-3 by (x+1) and we get the quotient is 3x^2-8x-3 Now factories the quotient by using factorisation method 3x^2-8x-3 3x^2-9x+1x-3 3x(x-3)+1(x-3) (x-3)(3x+1) Now, x-3=0 >>> x=3 3x+1=0 >>> x=-1/3 Hence all three zeroes of the cubic polynomial P(x) is -1, 3 and -1/3
