Faraday’s first law of electromagnetic induction states that

whenever a conductor is placed in the varying magnetic field, electromagnetic fields are induced known as induced emf. If the conductor circuit is closed, a current is also induced which are called induced current.

Faraday’s Second Law

Faraday’s second law of electromagnetic induction states that

the induced emf in a coil is equal to the rate of change of flux linkage. Here the flux is nothing but the product of the number of turns in the coil and flux connected with the coil.

Double fertilization : It occurs when one male nucleus fertilizes (fuses) with egg cell to form zygote cell and other male nucleus fuses (fertilizes) with two polar nuclei to cause triple fusion. As these two types of fertilizations take place at the same time in the ovule of the plant, it is known as double fertilization.
After fertilization:
(i) Ovary develops into fruit.
(ii) Ovules develop into seeds.

Sodium metal is highly reactive. If it is kept open it can explosively react with oxygen, carbon dioxide and moisture present in the air. They catch fire and start burning. To prevent this explosive reaction and the After Effects sodium is kept immersed in kerosene oil.

Lithium, Sodium and potassium are also kept in kerosene oil they are also very reactive and catch fire easily.

Let the level of water in the pond rises by 21 cm in t hours.

Speed of water = 15 km/hr

Diameter of the pipe = 14/100 m

Radius of the pipe (r) = 7/100 m

Volume of water flowing out of the pipe in 1 hour

= π r 2 h

= (22/7) x (7/100) x (7/100) x 15000

= 231 m3

Volume of water flowing out of the pipe in t hours = 231 t m3.

Volume of water in the cuboidal pond

= 50 x 44 x (21/100)

= 462 m

Volume of water flowing out of the pipe in t hours = Volume of water in the cuboidal pond

So, 231 t = 462

t = 2

Thus, the required time is 2 hours.

Let √2 + √3 = (a/b) is a rational no.
On squaring both sides , we get
2 + 3  + 2√6 = (a2/b2)
So,5 + 2√6 = (a2/b2) a rational no.
So, 2√6 = (a2/b2) – 5
Since, 2√6 is an irrational no. and (a2/b2) – 5 is a rational no.
So, my contradiction is wrong.
So, (√2 + √3) is an irrational no.

1. Uses of nonmetals in our daily life:

Oxygen which is 21% by volume helps in the respiration process. It is also used for manufacturing of steel and provides high temperature in metal fabrication process. Oxygen cylinders are used in hospital.

Chlorine is useful in removing stains and color patches as a bleaching agent. Various graded plastics and insecticides are made with chlorine. It helps in purification of water. How? Adding chlorine to drinking water kills the bacterias.

Helium is used as inert gas for scientific experiments. It is also used in weather balloons.

Iodine helps from throat infections and is used as antiseptic on wounds and cuts.

2. Nonmetals used in fertilizers:

Fertilizers contain nitrogen. It helps in plant growth. It enhances the rate of plant growth. Non Metal phosphorus is also used for better plant growth. These two nonmetals play a major role in plant growth.

3. Nonmetals used in crackers:

Sulfur and phosphorus are used in fireworks.

When the light rays passes through the atmosphere having layers of different densities and refractive indices, then atmospheric refractioon takes place. The actual sunrise takes place when the sun is above horizon. When the sun is just below the horizon, the light rays coming from it , on entring the Earth's atmosphere suffer atmospheric refraction from a rarer to denser medium . so, they bend towards the normal at each refraction. Due to continuous refraction of light rays at each layer, it follows a curved path and reaches the eye of the observer. As a result , we can see the sun 2 mins. before it rises above the horizon in the morning .

It is also due to refraction that we can still see the sun for abt 2 mins. even after the sun has set below the horizon.

As a result, the time from sunrise to sunset is increased by abt 4 mins
