Working
- When the current begins to flow, current flows through brush X, then A to B, B to C, C to D and then to brush Y and into the battery.
- Now applying Fleming's Left Hand Rule to wire AB, Current is along AB, Magnetic Field is as shown (North-> South), the motion of the wire is downwards.
- Now applying Fleming's Left Hand Rule to wire CD, Current is along CD, Magnetic Field is as shown (North-> South), the motion of the wire is upwards.
- The rectangular coil begins to move in the anti-clockwise direction
- Note that during anti-clockwise motion, the split rings and axle also move, whereas the brushes don't move.
- After half a rotation, Wire CD and Split ring Q moves to the left. Wire AB and Split ring P moves to right. Brushes X and Y donot move.
- Now applying Fleming's Left Hand Rule to wire CD, Current is along DC. (Battery -> Split ring Q -> DC , Magnetic Field is as shown (North-> South), the motion of the wire is downwards.
- Now applying Fleming's Left Hand Rule to wire AB, Current is along BA. (Battery -> Split ring Q -> DC --> CB -> BA --> Split ring P) , Magnetic Field is as shown (North-> South), the motion of the wire is upwards.
- So, again the coil rotates in the anti-clockwise direction.
- The reversal of current in the coil results in the continous rotation of the coil. The reversal of current is achieved by the commutator rings

Democracy promotes dignity and freedom of an individual in the following manner:
It recognises the passion of respect and freedom of the people. Earlier, most societies across the world disrespected women. Long struggles endured by women have made people realise the importance of respect and equal treatment in a democracy.
It has helped the disadvantaged and discriminated castes of the society by providing them with equal status and opportunity. Although, there may be many instances of caste-based inequalities and atrocities, they lack the moral and legal foundations.
It transforms people from the status of being subjects to being citizens who have rights and duties.

For the points to be collinear , p = 4
Step-by-step explanation:
Given ,
Points = ( p+1 , 2p-2 ), ( p-1 , p) and (p-3 , 2p-6)
For the given points ( x₁ , y₁ ) , ( x₂ , y₂ ) and ( x₃ , y₃) to be collinear then
[ x₁ ( y₂ - y₃ ) + x₂( y₃ - y₁ )+ x₃( y₁- y₂ )] = 0
Here,
x₁ = p + 1 y₁ = 2p - 2
x₂ = p - 1 y₂ = p
x₃ = p - 3 y₃ = 2p - 6
Substituting the values in the formula ,
( p + 1 ) ( p - ( 2p - 6 ) ) + ( p - 1 ) ( 2p - 6 - ( 2p - 2 ) ) + ( p - 3 ) ( 2p - 2 - ( p ) ) = 0
( p + 1 ) ( p - 2p + 6 ) ) + ( p - 1 ) ( 2p - 6 - 2p + 2 ) ) + ( p - 3 ) ( 2p - 2 - p ) = 0
( p + 1 ) ( -p + 6 ) + ( p - 1 ) ( -4 ) + ( p - 3 ) ( p - 2 ) = 0
- p² - p + 6p + 6 - 4p + 4 + p² - 3p - 2p + 6 = 0
- 4p + 16 = 0
4p = 16
Dividing both the sides by 4
4p / 4 = 16 / 4
p = 4
Hence,
For the points to be collinear , p = 4

when a dirty cloth is put in water containing dissolve soap, then the hydrocarbon in soft soap molecules in the micelle attached to the oil or grease particles present on the surface of dirty cloth. In this way the soap micelle entraps the oil or dirty particles by using it's hydrocarbon ends. The ionic ends of the soap molecules in the micelle, however remain attached to water. When the dirty cloth is agitated in soap solution, the oily and greasy particles present on its surface and entrapped by soap micelles get dispersed in water due to which the soap water becomes dirty but cloth gets cleaned. The cloth is cleaned thoroughly by rinsing in clean water and number of times...

Structures which have a common basic structure but perform different functions are called homologous structures, e.g., forelimbs of reptiles, amphibians and mammals. Yes, they have common ancestor but variously modified to carry out different activities.

| Fragmentation | Regeneration |
| Organisms that are fragmented result in each fragment growing into an individual organism | Regeneration occurs when an organism only regrows a lost limb or any other part of the body. |
| A new individual emerges from each fragment | No new organisms are formed |
| Only a few organisms can fragment and form new individuals | All organisms exhibit the ability to regenerate to some degree |
| Fragmentation is observed in organisms such as flatworms and sponges | Examples of regeneration include regrowing a lost limb, such as the tail of a lizard |
