- It helps to identify the various resources present in different regions of the country.
- It helps in the conservation of various non-renewable/extinguishable resources.
- It helps in reducing wastage of resources.
- It helps in equal distribution of resources among the regions that have acute shortage of it.
- It helps in keeping track of remaining resources.

Ohm's Law:
It states that the current through any two points of the conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference applied across the conductor provided that the physical conditions remains constant.
Unit:
It is measured in ohm represented as Ω.
Explanation:
When an electric potential difference is applied across the conductor, the current passes through it. Here some of the current is apposed by the resistance of the conductor in the circuit. Thus Ohm's Law is the relation between current, voltage and resistance.
According to Ohm's Law:
V α I
V = I R
Where R (resistance) is the constant or proportionality.
Ohm's Law is applicable only if all the physical conditions for example temperature, material or dimensions of the wire remain constant.

Majoritarianism is a belief according to which the majority community of a nation should frame rules in whichever way it wants, even if it results in disregarding and ignoring the wishes and needs of the minority communities.
After Sri Lanka became independent of the colonial rule in 1948, it had two major communities, the Sinhalese (74 per cent) and the Tamilians (18 per cent). As the Sinhalese were in majority, they elected themselves to power, introduced a series of majoritarian policies to ascertain the supremacy of their community. They appointed Sinhalese people to preferential positions in government and also made Sinhala as the only official language of the nation. Various government measures gradually increased the feeling of alienation among the Tamilians of Sri Lanka. This led to dissent among the Tamilian community, which with time strained the relations between the Sinhala and Tamil communities. The distrust between both the communities finally culminated into a Civil war, with Tamilians demanding the formation of independent Tamil state in northern and eastern parts of Sri Lanka. This led to thousands of people being killed in the civil war.
Thus, the assertive policies of the majority community threatened the unity and integrity of the country.

The breadth of a rectangle = 5m, and
The area of a rectangle = 1000m/s.
Area of rectangle = length × breadth
1000 = length × 5
length = 1000/5 = 200 m

The Congress declared that if the government did not accept a constitution based on the dominion status within a year, it would adopt ‘Purana Swaraj’ as its goal.
In 1929, having a meeting with Ramsay Macdonald, the Prime Minister of England, Lord Irwin returned to India and declared that the object of the British Government was to grant India dominion status. But the Prime Minister under pressure of the conservative leaders, failed to keep his promise. When Gandhiji met Lord Irwin in December 1929, the latter refused to make any commitment regarding dominion status.
In utter despair Gandhiji said, ‘I have burnt my boat’. The country became prepared to fight for ‘Purana Swaraj’.
According to Amales Tripathi, the main cause of the Civil Disobedience movement was worldwide economic depression during the period 1929-1930. Young leaders of the Congress became impatient for a movement. The revolutionaries were not sitting idle. The organizations of the works and the peasants gathered strength under organizations of the workers and the peasants gathered strength under the leadership of the communists. All these events led Gandhiji to feel the necessity of launching Civil Disobedience movement.
Salt-Satyagraha:
The Civil disobedience movement started with Gandhiji’s historic ‘Dandi March’. Gandhiji walked 240 miles through villages of Gujarat. He reached Dandi on 6 April 1930. He inaugurated the Civil Disobedience movement by picking up a handful of salt. Gandhiji and other prominent leaders were arrested. Their arrest led to a mass demonstration. In Peshawar, Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan took an active role.

The number of atoms present in a single molecule is termed as its atomicity. It can be classified into three types.
The molecules of many elements are composed of only a single atom of that element. They are termed as monoatomic. For instance, Ar (Argon), He(Helium). So their atomicity is one.
On the other hand the molecules of many elements are composed of two atoms of that element. For instance, oxygen can never exist independently and exist as O2 molecule known as diatomic So its atomicity is 2.
The molecules of many elements are composed of three atoms of that element. They are termed as triatomic For instance, O3, CO2. So their atomicity is 3.
The molecules of many elements are composed of four atoms of that element. They are termed as tetra atomic For instance, P4, SO3. So their atomicity is 4.

Non metal
- They occupy the right hand side of the Periodic Table.
- Most non-metals are brittle and are not malleable or ductile.
- At room temperature, they are usually solids or gases.
- They usually have low boiling and melting points (except carbon and boron).
- They are poor conductors of heat and electricity.
- They are usually less dense when compared to metals.
- They tend to gain electrons during chemical reactions.
Metalloid
- Metalloids exhibit some properties of metals as well as of non-metals. Hence, they are also known as semi-metals.
- Boron, silicon, germanium, arsenic, antimony, and tellurium are the most commonly recognized metalloids.
- These elements run diagonally across the Periodic Table.
- They may have a metallic or dull appearance.
- They are usually brittle and are fair conductors of electricity.
- They may gain or lose electrons during chemical reactions.
- They form alloys with metals.
- They are used as catalysts, biological agents, flame retardants, alloys and semiconductors in industries due to their unique properties

An equation must be balanced in order to comply with the " Law of Conservation of Matter " which says that matter is neither created nor destroyed in the course of a Chemical Reaction. An unbalanced equation would imply that atoms have been created or destroyed.
