It is essential to have resource planning because
1. Resources are scarce. For example, we must plan the use of oil because it is a scarce resource. If used indiscriminately, it will run out quickly.
2. It is essential to minimise the environmental impact of the use of resources. Indiscriminate use of natural resources like forests and minerals can lead to adverse effects like environmental degradation, pollution and global warming.
3. It makes sound economic sense to maximise the benefit we can obtain from resources while using the least possible amount. For example, in using a valuable resource like water for irrigation, we should adopt that method that can irrigate the field most efficiently while using the least amount of water.
Resource Planning in India is one of the most important goals right from its first Five Years Plan. Following are the main points of Resource planning.

x-y=4 .......... (ii)
Adding (i) and (ii)
2x = 18
x = 18/2 = 9
Put x = 9 in (i)
9 + y = 14
y = 14 - 9
y = 5

Lightning is one of the most beautiful displays we can see in our nature which can certainly be deadly at times. It is a sudden electrostatic discharge between the electrically charged regions of the cloud. As we know that it occurs due to electrically charged storms but still the method of charging of clouds remains elusive.

'Utopian vision' means that it is depicting something idealistic. The French artist F Sorrieu was visualizing a dream of a world made up of nations (all of them did not exist as nations at the time that these prints were made). He has showed the German people with a common flag, although actually they were a number of different states at that time. So it is an idealistic or Utopian vision

Planning is widely accepted strategy for judicious use of resources in a country like India which has enormous diversity in the availability of resources.
(i) There are regions which are rich in certain types of resources, but are deficient in some other resources.
(ii) There are some regions which can be considered self-sufficient in terms of the availability of resources and there are some regions which have acute shortage of some vital resources.
e.g. The states of Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh are rich in minerals and coal deposits. Arunachal Pradesh has abundance of water resources, but lacks in infrastructural development. The state of Rajasthan is very well endowed with solar and wind energy, but lacks in water resources. So, to cope up with all these diversities, planning in required.

Grafting is a horticultural technique used to join parts from two or more plants so that they appear to grow as a single plant. In grafting, the upper part (scion) of one plant grows on the root system (rootstock) of another plant.
In grafting, one plant is selected for its roots, and this is called the stock or rootstock. The other plant is selected for its stems, leaves, flowers, or fruits and is called the scion. The scion contains the desired genes to be duplicated in future production by the stock/scion plant. For successful grafting to take place, the vascular cambium tissues of the stock and scion plants must be placed in contact with each other. Both tissues must be kept alive until the graft has taken, usually a period of a few weeks. Successful grafting requires that a vascular connection takes place between the two tissues.
Grafting is most commonly used for the propagation of trees and shrubs grown commercially. Grafting is limited to dicots and gymnosperms.
