फ्रांसीसी क्रांति के समय कलाकारों ने स्वतंत्रता, न्याय और गणतंत्र जैसे विचारों को व्यक्त करने के लिए नारी प्रतीकों का सहारा लिया इनमें मारीआन और जर्मेनिया अत्यधिक प्रसिद्ध हैं।

मारीआन – यह लोकप्रिय ईसाई नाम है। अतः फ्रांस ने अपने स्वतंत्रता के नारी प्रतीक को यही नाम दिया। यह छवि जन राष्ट्र के विचार का प्रतीक थी। इसके चिह्न स्वतंत्रता व गणतंत्र के प्रतीक लाल टोपी, तिरंगा और कलगी थे। मारीआन । की प्रतिमाएँ सार्वजनिक चौराहों और अन्य महत्त्वपूर्ण स्थानों पर लगाई गई ताकि जनता को राष्ट्रीय एकता के राष्ट्रीय प्रतीक की याद आती रहे और वह उससे अपनी तादात्मय (तालमेल) स्थापित कर सके। मारीआन की छवि सिक्कों व डाक टिकटों पर अंकित की गई थी।
जर्मेनिया – यह जर्मन राष्ट्र की नारी रूपक थी। चाक्षुष अभिव्यक्तियों में वह बलूत वृक्ष के पत्तों को मुकुट पहनती है। क्योंकि जर्मनी में बलूत वीरता का प्रतीक है। उसने हाथ में जो तलवार पकड़ी हुई थी उस पर यह लिखा हुआ है “जर्मन तलवार जर्मन राइन की रक्षा करती है। इस प्रकार जर्मेनिया, जर्मनी में स्वतंत्रता, न्याय और गणतंत्र की प्रतीक बन कर उभरी एक नारी छवि थी।

When CO2 passes through lime water, it turns into milky lime water due to formation of insoluble calcium carbonate.

Ca(OH)₂+CO₂⇌CaCO3(+)+H2O

IOf CO2 is passed for longer period, turbidity disappears due to form of soluble calcium bicarbonate.

The reaction between limewater, which is a solution of calcium hydroxide, Ca(OH)2 , and carbon dioxide will result in the formation of an insoluble solid called calcium carbonate, CaCO3 . The solution will turn milky due to the fact that calcium carbonate is a white precipitate.
