cobalt  27 and nickel 28

According to modern periodic law, elements are arranged in the order of increasing atomic numbers. The atomic number of cobalt is 27 and that of nickel is 28. So, in the modern periodic table, cobalt with lower atomic number (27) comes first and nickel with higher atomic number (28) comes later, even if their atomic masses are in the wrong order. In this way, the positions of cobalt and nickel were resolved in the modern periodic table.

Let the present age of Arjun be x years and present age of sonu be y years.

According to given conditions,

5 years ago,

x - 5 = 3(y - 5)

x - 3y = -10 ...... (Eqn 1)

10 year later,

x + 10 = 2(y + 10)

x - 2y = 10 ........ (Eqn 2)

On subtracting eqn 1 from 2,

(x - 2y) - (x - 3y) = 10 + 10

-2y + 3y = 20

y = 20

On substituting y = 20 in eqn 2,

x = 2 × 20 + 10

x = 50

Hence present age of Arjun is 50 years and present age of Sonu is 20 years

A networking device that connects multiple ports or systems to the network and transfers the information to all the devices in a network. Also known as " d u m b " switch. Switched communication networks are those in which data transferred from source to destination is routed between various intermediate nodes. Switching is the technique by which nodes control or switch data to transmit it between specific points on a network. There are 3 common switching techniques: Circuit Switching. Unmanaged switches simply allow Ethernet devices to communicate with one another by providing a connection to the network. Unmanaged switches are truly plugged and play devices, meaning you simply have to plug them in for them to work.

DNA copying is an essential part of the reproduction process because an organism’s entire genetic information is contained within the DNA. If the DNA mutates, then there is a chance that the resulting organism may be born with a deformity or other genetic abnormality.

The heart receives deoxygenated blood from different parts of the body, and it pumps this blood to the lungs. The oxygenated blood from the lungs returns to the heart, which is pumped again into different parts of the body by the heart. Thus, the blood passes twice through the heart making one complete round through the body. This is called double circulation.

We have to find the LCM of 40 cm, 42 cm and 45 cm to get the required minimum distance. Because we are asked the minimum distance
 Now,
 40 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 5,
 42 = 2 × 3 × 7
45 = 3 × 3 × 5
∴ LCM (40, 42, 45) = 2 × 3 × 5 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 7 = 30 × 12 × 7 = 210 × 12 = 2520

Minimum distance each should walk 2520 cm. so that, each can cover the same distance in complete steps.

In ΔADC and ΔBAC,
∠ADC = ∠BAC (Given)
∠ACD = ∠BCA (Common angle)
∴ ΔADC ~ ΔBAC (By AA similarity criterion)
We know that corresponding sides of similar triangles are in proportion.

∴ CA/CB =CD/CA

⇒ CA2 = CB.CD.

An alternate method:

Given in ΔABC, ∠ADC = ∠BAC
Consider ΔBAC and ΔADC
∠ADC = ∠BAC (Given)
∠C = ∠C (Common angle)
∴ ΔBAC ~ ΔADC (AA similarity criterion)

⇒

∴ CB x CD = CA²

In the given pair, 38220 > 196, thus let 38220 = a and 196 = b

Now by applying the Euclid’s division algorithm, we get

38220=196×195+0 (Here q=195 and r=0)

Since, in the above equation we get, r = 0, therefore, 196 is the HCF of the given pair 196 and 38220.

Vishvajit Yadav 5 years, 5 months ago

solution let a=38220 and b= 196 from euclid division lemma a=bq+r 38220=196×195+0 HCF=196

“Janny” Hall, better known as Mrs Hall, is the owner of the “Coach and Horses” inn at Iping in Sussex. Mrs. Hall is a very friendly, down-to-earth woman who enjoys socialising with her guests, This she had proved by asking for the stranger’s coat to let it dry in the kitchen. She tried to get into conversation with her visitor and narrated her nephew’s injury by a knife. Mrs. Hall is continually frustrated by the mysterious Griffin’s refusal to talk with her, and his repeated tantrums. The first time we encounter her, she appears to be an opportunist. She gives the Stranger a room in her inn without showing much concern to confirm his identity.

Mrs Hall is also money-minded. She accommodates Griffin’s rudeness and awkward behaviour only because she was being paid. However, she has a courteous side also, which we see when she tries to know about Griffin’s physical impairment and shows sympathy for him.

Mrs Hall is superstitious and believes that her furniture was haunted. She is a dominating wife and doesn’t shy away from giving her husband lectures. Moreover, she can put her foot down if required. When she had had enough of the stranger’s rudeness, Mrs Hall decided to set him straight and stopped serving him. She replied in such an angry tone that Griffin had to back off.

1. Definition

The first point of difference between anabolism and catabolism is their definition. Anabolism is the metabolic process which transforms simple substances into complex molecules. On the other hand, catabolism is where complex and large molecules are broken down into small ones.

2. Role in Metabolism

Catabolism is the destructive phase of metabolism, whereas anabolism is the constructive one.

3. Energy and Heat Requirement

Another significant difference between metabolism catabolism and anabolism is the heat and energy requirements. Anabolism is an endergonic reaction. It means this reaction requires ATP energy as it absorbs heat.

However, catabolism being an exergonic reaction releases ATP energy and does not require an

Area of cross-section of the wire, A =π (d/2) 2
Diameter= 0.5 mm = 0.0005 m
Resistance, R = 10 Ω
We know that

∴ length of the wire = 122.72m
If the diameter of the wire is doubled, new diameter=2×0.5=1mm=0.001m
Let new resistance be Rʹ

∴ the new resistance is 2.5 Ω

Decrease in resistance = 10 - 2.5

                                  = 7.5 Ω.
