Small intestine

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 4 months ago

he SMALL INTESTINE is the largest and longest part of the alimentary canal.

Small intestine is the longest part of the alimentary canal because it is the main organ of absorption and digestion of food. The surface area of the small intestine gets increased because of the presence of villi which gives food plenty of time to break down properly.

Bhoodan Movement was started by Vinoba Bhave. It was a land reform movement in India which included the voluntary gifting of the land by the landowners to the landless labourers.

Bhoodan Movement led to the ‘Gramdaan’ when people of a village voluntarily donated all lands of the village for redistribution of land on an equitable basis. This was the beginning of the ‘Gramdaan’.

Some challenges faced by our farmers on daily basis are:

1) Small and fragmented lands provided to them.

2) Seeds which they get are not of proper quality, which definitely affects the growth. Distribution of seeds is also in poor condition.

3) The average yields of crops are lowest in India due to soil degradation and improper use of manure, fertilizer and herbicides.

4) Irrigation.

5) Less machinery, more manpower, the government should pay proper attention to the need of farmers.

Refractive index is the extent of bending of ray of light by the medium. It does not have any SI unit as when we we will define it in realtion to speed we will get the no units because i.e.,in relation to speed Refractive index. =speed of light in medium 1/speed of light in medium 2 We knew SI unit of speed is m per second so it will cancell out we will not get any unit . thus, it does not have unit. The symbol of refractive index is nu(n) its not 'n' alphabet ,the first line of n alphabet is little bit smaller then second line of n alphabet. Factors on which refractive index depend-- 1. Nature --whether the object is transparent or not it is not then no bending of light take place as there is not refraction taking place. 2. Wavelength -- Refractive index is inversionaly proportional to wave length, more will be the wavelength less will be the refractive index and vice versa. 3.colour -- red light has highest wavelength so it shows less bending due less refractive index and more wavelength.Violet colour of light shows maximum bending due to less wavelength. Refractive index of air and vaccum is same - 1.00 Diamond had the refractive index of- 2.42

Anupama ?? 5 years, 4 months ago

The ratio of the velocity of light in vaccum with the ratio of velocity of light in specified medium is known as refractive index.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 4 months ago

Refractive Index

  • The extent of the change in direction that takes place in a given pair of media is expressed in terms of the refractive index.
  • It turns out that light propagates with different speeds in different media.
  • The value of the refractive index for a given pair of media depends upon the speed of light in the two media.
    n21 = Speed of light in medium 1 /Speed of light in medium 2 = v1/v2

a=5,d=5,an=1000 We have to use the formula an=a+(n-1)d 1000=5+(n-1)5 1000-5=(n-1)5 995=(n-1)5 995/5=n-1 199=n-1 199+1=n n=200

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 4 months ago

Step - by - step explanation :

a =5, d =5, tn =995

995 = 5 + (n-1) × 5

995 = 5 + 5n - 5

995 = 5 n

n = 995 ÷ 5 = 199

Griffin was the lead character in the novel. He was an albino. Though he had many great qualities, yet he had many flaws in his character. Griffin was a man who had no conscience, was callous towards other people and simply self-centered. He appeared to be at war with the entire mankind. All his actions stemmed from his desire to save himself, with not a thought of care and sympathy for others. He did many mean acts in the novel. When he was short of money he continued his experiments, without any thoughts of the consequences, he robed his own father, who committed suicide because the money was not his. He attended his father’s funeral without feeling sorry for his own act; instead he blamed his father for being a sentimental fool. He experimented on a cat, with no concern for the poor creature’s cries of pain. He threw it out and never tried to find whether it was alive or dead. He burnt down the house at Great Portland Street when the landlord and his sons found about his experiments and were horrified. He was only worried about covering his trail.

Even after becoming invisible he committed one brutal act after another, not because they were necessary for his survival, but simply because he enjoyed doing them. The way he looted his owner of a small costume shop, and left after striking the old man on his head, spoke volumes about his inhumanity. He terrorized Marvel when he was on the run, fought with the policemen. His plan to spread reign of terror among people using his powers of invisibility really shocked Dr. Kemp. He even tried to kill him for betraying him. In his final run from the people hunting him, he killed an old man with a rod because he bumped into him.
