I agree with the point  a) the policy of accommodation has strengthened national unity.

If the policy of accommodation was not followed, and states were not created on linguistic basis, there would have been further partition of India. For example, imposition of Hindi as the national language would have led the South to break away from the North and Tamil Nadu would have become an independent nation.

(1) Under horizontal distribution of power, power is shared among different organs of the government such as legislature, executive and judiciary. This system is also called system of ‘checks and balances’.
(2) Reasons :
(i) All three organs of the government are placed at the same level.
(ii) The power distribution ensures that no organ enjoys unlimited powers.
(iii) Each organ exercises a check on the others. Thus, this results in a balance of power.

It is a system of check and balance because people check each others performance and balance the high performance with corresponding low performance

Here given triangle ABC must be an equilateral triangle and we have to prove AD2 =  3DC2

Solution:

Given: ∆ABC is an equilateral, AD ⊥ BC.

In right ∆ABD,

AB2 = BD2 + AD2

⇒ BC2 = BD2 + AD2   (AB = BC)

⇒ (2BD)2 = BD2 + AD2   [From (1)]

⇒ 4BD2 = BD2 + AD2

⇒ AD2 = 3BD2 = 3DC2  [As BD = DC]

Hence proved

The majority of acids are weak. On average, only about 1 percent of a weak acid solution dissociates in water in a 0.1 mol/L solution. Therefore, the concentration of H+ ions in a weak acid solution is always less than the concentration of the undissociated species, HA. Examples of weak acids include acetic acid (CH3COOH), which is found in vinegar, and oxalic acid (H2C2O4), which is found in some vegetables.

Citric acid was discovered by an Islamic alchemist, Jabir Ibn Hayyan (also known as Geber), in the 8th century, and crystalline citric acid was first isolated from lemon juice in 1784 by the Swedish chemist Carl Wilhelm Scheele

Mineral acids (those that do not contain carbon) are much stronger. They include sulfuric, nitric, and hydrochloric acids, all of which were described by Geber. In fact, he is credited with the discovery of sulfuric acid. To produce this chemical, he described heating what were called vitriols (certain sulfur-containing compounds) to a high temperature. This heating resulted in a chemical reaction that produced sulfur and an oxygen-containing gas as its byproducts. When the gas was cooled, it would condense with water vapor, forming a liquid that could dissolve metals. This liquid, which Geber called oil of vitriol, consisted of sulfuric acid (H2SO4) dissolved in water.

It is formed through a natural process. When sulphide mineral in the rock oxidizes, sulphuric acid is formed. Sulphuric acid is strongly acidic. Therefore, it is used in cleaning of metals, removal of impurities from oil, manufacturing of chemicals – nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, synthesis of dye, drugs, detergents explosives etc. Below are the four important uses of sulphuric acid in various ways:

  • Sulphuric acid uses at home
  • Sulphuric acid uses in industry

Poland had been partitioned at the end of the 18th century by the Great Powers—Russia, Prussia and Austria. Even though Poland no longer existed as an independent territory, nationalist feelings were kept alive through music and language. Karol Kurpinski, celebrated the national struggle through his operas and music, turning folk dances like the polonaise and mazurka into nationalist symbols

The issue of extending political rights to women was a controversial one within the liberal movement in 1848 because most of the liberals were against the view of extending political rights to women. But few of them were in favour.
Right to vote was denied to women. Moreover, the Napoleonic Code went back to limited suffrage and reduced women to the status of a minor, subject to the authority of fathers and husbands. This clearly revealed political conflicts due to gender differences.
