Oxygen molecule splits into atomic oxygen (O) at higher levels of an atmosphere because of higher energy of UV radiations.

So, O2⟶O+O

O2+O⟶O3 (Ozone)

Damage to the ozone layer is a cause of concern to us as it forms a layer in the atmosphere which protects us from the harmful UV radiation.

Damage to ozone layer can cause penetration of UV rays in the earth surface which damages human organs, plants, etc.

Value of a, b = -5, -1 derived from the system of linear equation given which has infinite number of solution.

Solution:

For an equation to have infinite solution, the equations should be same as for now let us equate the equations and then solve it

2x - 3y=7

(a+b)x-(a+b-3)y = 4a+b

Equate the value of ax + by = cn in both cases, after this we get:

a+b=2n

a+b-3=-3n and 4a+b=7n.

Solving these we get the value of n = -3.

Putting the value of n, we get a+b=-6

a+b-3=18

4a+b=-21

Solving the above equation, we get:

a=-6-b

-4(6+b)+b=-21

b= -1

Putting the value of b in a = -6-b

a = -5.

Therefore, the value of a & b = -5, -1

In its uncultivated form, Brassica oleracea is known as wild cabbage. The family includes cabbage, kale, collards, cauliflower, broccoli, kohlrabi, and brussels sprouts, each variety is chosen for certain traits like flower buds, large leaves, and edible stems. Artificial selection is a process in which humans consciously select for or against particular features in organisms. Artificial selection has enabled the cultivation of new crops with desirable traits from one single common ancestor. Furthermore, once a plant with the combination of alleles for a desired phenotype is produced, it can be propagated asexually by taking cuttings, grafting and encouraging runners or through layering. By artificial selection, man has produced many crop plants like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kohlrabi etc. from a common wild cabbage species by selective breeding and artificial selection.

Dear Friend: I hope this letter finds you in great health and prosperity. I am going to share with you a strange experience I had recently! You know the hailstorm destroyed my crop. You also know how much I adore God. Just because of my faith in God, I never felt disappointed as I knew God would always help me. So I wrote a letter to God and went to post it myself. At the post office I posted it putting the right stamp. I was confident God would send me help immediately; and as expected he did help me. I went to the post office the following Sunday. There was a letter waiting for me. In it there was money. But when I counted it I was shocked; 30 pesos were missing. I am sure, the crooked post office staff must have nicked them. There is nothing to worry as I have written another letter to God and requested Him to send me the rest of the money through some other post office. I am confident it will arrive within a week. The rest is fine. Be very careful about these post office employees. Regards to family members. Your loving friend, Lencho

Dear Poko,
Hope you are hale and hearty. This year is not going to be as good for me as the last one. The rains have ruined all my harvest. We have nothing to eat. So, I thought of writing a letter to God and asked him to send 100 pesos. And do you know Poko, I got the money but not the amount I had asked for. Thirty pesos were missing. I have doubt on the post-office employees. I wrote to God again and requested for the remaining money. Im sure he will definitely send the money again.
Im waiting for a reply from God.
With love
Lencho.

the political situations of Europe in mid 18th century . during the mid 18th century eastern and central Europe were under autocratic monarchies .Europeans did not see themselves as sharing a collective identity or a common culture, they even speak different languages and belonged to different ethnic groups. It was divided into many estates and ruled by different rulers.

Yogita Ingle 3 years, 5 months ago

The political conditions of Europe as follows :
(i) The first half of the nineteenth century saw an enormous increase in population all over Europe.
(ii) In most countries, there were more job seekers than employment. Population from rural areas migrated to the cities to live in overcrowded slums.
(iii) Small producers in towns were often faced with stiff competition from imports of cheap machine made goods from England, where industrialisation was more advanced than on the continent.
(iv) In these regions of Europe where the aristocracy still enjoyed power, peasants struggled under the burden of feudal dues and obligations.
(v) The rise of food prices or a year of bad harvest led to widespread pauperism in town and country.

6*10 raise to power 18 electrons...

Preeti Sehgal 5 years, 4 months ago

Ans is the correct Gaurav seth

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 4 months ago

We know that the charge on an electron is negative and it is -1.6⨯10-19 coulomb.

We need to calculate the number of electrons constituting one coulomb of charge.

e = 1.6 × 10-19 C

Total charge required for 1Coulomb.

∴ q = 1C……….(1)

The formula to calculate the charge is

q = ne

where

q = charge

e = number of electrons

n = q/e……….(2)

Substituting equation (1) in equation (2) we get

n = 1/(1.6 × 10-19)

n = 6.25 × 1018 electrons ≅ 6 × 1018 electrons

So 1 Columb of charge contains 6 × 1018 electrons.

The title is justified as the entire story revolved around the dog, Tricky, and his illness. The small dog was very much pampered by his mistress, Mrs. Pumphrey. She often overfed him and this led to some serious illness. Mr. Herriot, the veterinary surgeon, helped Triki by giving him plenty of water and no medicines and no food. At last, Triki recovered and was back with Mrs. Pumphrey. She was very happy and in her excitement said that it was a triumph of surgery

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 4 months ago

The title of the chapter 'A triumph of surgery' is appropriate as getting Tricki well and energetic was a true victory for the vet. Mrs Pumphrey ahd been pampering her pet silly by overfeeding him. As a result, Tricki had become overweight and lethargic. All that the listless dog needed was some exercise and a balanced diet. The vet was able to treat Tricki by controlling his food intake and getting him to play with the other dogs at the surgery. He did not even need to discuss his methods with the owner who presumed some complicated surgery ahd been performed on Tricki

- I want to tell you about my recent misfortune.
- First, my crops were destroyed due to a hail storm and I suffered great loss.
- But, I appealed to God to send me a hundred pesos to make up for my loss.
- Imagine my shock when I was cheated out of thirty pesos by the post office employees: I found only seventy pesos from the money God had sent me!
- Nobody seems to be honest any more!

Lencho seems to be an impulsive man, as he had hoped for a good rain. But he became despaired on seeing the destroyed crop. He had tolerance and the courage to face the challanges in life. His firm faith in God made him to write a letter and the tolerance in him kept him waiting for the reply. He accepted the seventy pesos and again faced the situation writing a second letter demanding for the rest of the amount. In the same manner one must face the situation courageously and be tolerant to overcome the difficulty.

Lencho became angry when he counted the money that God had sent him. He found that the money amounted to seventy pesos only whereas he had asked for hundred pesos. He believed that the post office employees have stolen the rest of the amount because God could never make a mistake. Also, God would never deny Lencho what he had requested.

Lencho hoped for rains as the corn fields needed rain shower for irrigation. He referred to the rain drops as coins. To his biggest misfortune, hailstones came down instead of rain water which would destroy the crops utterly.

After raining for an hour, as Lencho feared, the hailstorm destroyed the whole corn harvest. His hope turned into despair as he knew he would have to stay hungry for a year.
