This poem tells that even a simple movement has a large significance. The poet has mentioned crow and hemlock tree in this poem. Crow signifies his depressive and sorrow full mood and hemlock tree is a poisonous tree. Both these signify that the poet was not in a good mood and so he describes the dark ,depressive and bitter side of nature to present is similar mood.
The poet says that once he was in a sad, depressive mood and was sitting under hemlock tree. A crow, sitting on the same tree shook off the dust of Snow i.e, small particles of snow that remain on the surface after the snow fall ,on the poet. This simple action change the poet's mood. He realised that he had just wasted a part of his day repenting and being lost in sorrow. But the change in his mood made him realise that he should utilise the rest of the day in some useful activity. His sorrow was washed away by the light shower of the snow dust. His spirit was revived and he got ready to utilise the rest of the day.

Functioning of a Nephron:

  • The blood enters the kidney through the renal artery, which branches into many capillaries associated with glomerulus.
  • The water and solute are transferred to the nephron at Bowman’s capsule.
  • In the proximal tubule, some substances such as amino acids, glucose, and salts are selectively reabsorbed and unwanted molecules are added in the urine.
  • The filtrate then moves down into the loop of Henle, where more water is absorbed.
  • From here, the filtrate moves upwards into the distal tubule and finally to the collecting duct. Collecting duct collects urine from many nephrons.
  • The urine formed in each kidney enters a long tube called ureter. From ureter, it gets transported to the urinary bladder and then into the urethra.

Sanika Walimbe 5 years, 6 months ago

Explain these 3 steps in detail: 1) Filtration 2) selective reabsorption 3) tubular secretion

No. This is because bleaching powder requires an aqueous medium to show its action. It dissociates into its ions only in water. Hence, it works on wet clothes and bleaches it. It does not ionise in dry mediums.
