The poet says that it is better to live with animals as they show tokens of goodness. They are peaceful, self-contained and happy. Animals show innate goodness which is lacked in human beings. Animals do not grumble about their lives or cry over their sins.

Asmi Singla 5 years, 4 months ago

Because they are not greedy like humans nor do they cry about their sins like humans do. Animals don't overreact and are calm

Ebright's mother was a great force behind the making of Ebright as a scientist. She encouraged his interest in learning by taking him on trips, she bought him telescopes, microscopes, cameras, mounting materials and other equipments. She found for him different ways of learning things. She bought for him the book titled "The Travels of Monarch X", which opened a new world for the eager scientist. Every evening mother and son worked together at the dining table. If Ebright had nothing to do she would find learning work for him.

Robin Klein’s poem Amanda illustrates the tension  experienced in the ‘proper’ upbringing of a child.

Upbringing plays is critical in the personality development of an adult. The poem Amanda shows how a child feels trapped with numerous instructions on what to do and how to act. Amanda is  a victim in this travesty. She has no freedom to explore her creativity. She receives instructions on everything. She thus seeks an escape. Her imagination is her escape. It also acts as defense against her parents. Her wish is to live alone and be free. Parents should act as guides to their children. They should let their children explore the world around them without interfering unnecessarily.

‘The Diary Of A Young Girl’ was written by Anne Frank, a thirteen year old Jewish girl. She started writing her diary as she did not have any friend with whom she could share her feelings and emotions. The red and white checkered diary came to her rescue and throughout her life she confided in it and gave it the name ‘Kitty’. She treated it as her dear friend. She gave vent to her feelings while making her entries in the diary. Some of the entries are very personal while some criticise her parents as well as her friends. She never kept anything back from her diary and recorded even petty issues like the everyday quarrels between her mother and Mrs. van Daan and even between Mrs. and Mr. van Daan. She recorded her feelings during the war, her fear, her frustrations and anger at the way in which the Jews were treated by the Germans. The whole book has been written in the diary form and revolves around the life of the girl – Anne Frank. Hence the title is justified.

Anne felt that a quarter of her class was dumb, and should be kept back and not promoted to the next class. However, she also felt that teachers were the most unpredictable creatures on earth. Mr Keesing could be termed as unpredictable. The way Anne always talked while the class was going on, any teacher would lose his temper. However, after several warnings, all Mr Keesing did was to assign her extra homework. She had to write an essay on ‘A Chatterbox’. In this way, he tried to play a joke on her. Each time that he asked her to write such essays, she wrote very well. She kept countering his jokes. One could not have predicted that he would take all the jokes in the right spirit. Finally, when she wrote an entire essay in verse he accepted her talkative nature and actually allowed her to talk in class. He did not even assign her any more extra homework. That is why it can be said that Mr Keesing was unpredictable.

Banks collect deposit from public... They use it to give loans to peoples and in that loan the give fixed intrest.. By this intrest banks gain profit..

BANKS keep only a small proportion of their deposits as cash with themselves. Banks in India, these days hold about 15 per cent of their deposits as cash.

  • This is kept as a provision to the depositors who might come to withdraw money from the bank on any given day.
  • Banks use the major portion of the deposits to extend loans. There is a great demand for loans for various economic activities. In this way, banks mediate between those who have surplus funds and those who are in need of these funds.
  • Banks charge a higher interest rate on loans than what they offer on deposits.
  • The difference between what is charged from the borrowers and what is paid to depositors is their main source of income.

Banks use a major portion of the deposits to extend loans to people for various economic activities. The interest rates on loans are much higher than what the bank charges on the deposits it has. Therefore, the difference between what is charged from the borrowers and what is paid to the depositors is the source of income of the banks.
