h1 = 2 cm
u = -40 cm
f = -15 cm
1/v – 1/u = 1/f
1/v – 1/-40 = 1/-15
1/v = - (1/15) – 1/40
1/v = -11/120
V = -10.90 cm
m = v/u = h2/h1
-10.90/-40 = h2/2
h2 = 0.54 cm

The Moon makes a complete orbit around Earth in 27 Earth days and rotates or spins at that same rate, or in that same amount of time. Because Earth is moving as well — rotating on its axis as it orbits the sun — from our perspective, the Moon appears to orbit us every 29 days. Earth's only natural satellite is simply called "the Moon" because people didn't know other moons existed until Galileo Galilei discovered four moons orbiting Jupiter in 1610.

Democracy has led to development in a longer run, security and dignity of the people in the following ways:
- Development: It has been observed that there is a slower rate of development in democratic countries. Lencho had faith in God. He was hopeful about the help from God. He believed that God sees everything. He can peep into one’s conscience deeply. He wrote a letter to God asking for a hundred pesos in order to sow his field again and to live until the crop grew.

Different social groups joined the Civil Disobedience Movement. Three of them are listed below.
- Rich peasant communities like Patidars of Gujarat and Jats of Uttar Pradesh - joined the movement because, being producers of commercial crops, they were hard-hit by depression and falling prices. For them, Swaraj meant struggle against high revenues.
- Poor peasants joined the struggle because they found it difficult to pay the rent. They wanted the unpaid rent to be remitted.
- Rich business classes were against colonial policies which restricted trade. They joined the movement because they wanted protection against import of foreign goods. They thought that Swaraj would cancel colonial restrictions and trade would flourish without constraints.

Suppose one number is X,
And another be Y.
By first condition,
X+Y=16………….(1)
By second condition,
X-Y =18………….(2)
Adding both the equation,
X+Y=16
+X -Y=18
…………….
2x =34 (y,-y get cancelled)
X=17.
Substitute x=17 in (1),
17+y=16
Y=16–17
Y= -1
(x=17,y=-1).

Web applications evolved from Web sites or Web systems. The first Web sites, created by Tim Berners-Lee while at CERN (the European Laboratory for Particle Physics), formed a distributed hypermedia system that enabled researchers to have access to documents and information published by fellow researchers, directly from their computers. Documents were accessed and viewed with a piece of software called a browser, a software application that runs on a client computer

The Frankfurt Parliament: It was an all-German National Assembly formed by the middle-class professionals, businessmen and prosperous artisans belonging to the different German regions. It was convened on 18 May, 1848 in the Church of St. Paul, in the city of Frankfurt. This assembly drafted a constitution for a German nation to be headed by a monarchy subject to a parliament. However, it faced opposition from the aristocracy and military. Also, as it was dominated by the middle classes, it lost its mass support base. In the end, it was forced to disband on 31 May, 1849.

Heredity: The passing of traits from the parents to offspring is called heredity. This is heredity which is responsible for many commonly observable facts; like siblings looking similar in overall appearance.
Evolution: The change in inherited traits in biological population over subsequent generations is called evolution. Scientists have proven that life evolved in the form of simple unicellular organisms on this earth; and all the organisms which are present today have evolved from a common ancestor. The idea of evolution is based on the premise of a common ancestry.

Lamarckism, a theory of evolution based on the principle that physical changes in organisms during their lifetime—such as greater development of an organ or a part through increased use—could be transmitted to their offspring. The classic example used to explain the concept of use and disuse is the elongated neck of the giraffe. According to Lamarck's theory, a given giraffe could, over a lifetime of straining to reach high branches, develop an elongated neck.
