10. CD and GH are respectively the bisectors of ∠ACB and ∠EGF such that D and H lie on sides AB and FE of ΔABC and ΔEFG respectively. If ΔABC ~ ΔFEG, Show that:

(i) CD/GH = AC/FG
(ii) ΔDCB ~ ΔHGE
(iii) ΔDCA ~ ΔHGF

Solution:

Given, CD and GH are respectively the bisectors of ∠ACB and ∠EGF such that D and H lie on sides AB and FE of ΔABC and ΔEFG respectively.

(i) From the given condition,

ΔABC ~ ΔFEG.

∴ ∠A = ∠F, ∠B = ∠E, and ∠ACB = ∠FGE

Since, ∠ACB = ∠FGE

∴ ∠ACD = ∠FGH (Angle bisector)

And, ∠DCB = ∠HGE (Angle bisector)

In ΔACD and ΔFGH,

∠A = ∠F

∠ACD = ∠FGH

∴ ΔACD ~ ΔFGH (AA similarity criterion)

⇒CD/GH = AC/FG

(ii) In ΔDCB and ΔHGE,

∠DCB = ∠HGE (Already proved)

∠B = ∠E (Already proved)

∴ ΔDCB ~ ΔHGE (AA similarity criterion)

(iii) In ΔDCA and ΔHGF,

∠ACD = ∠FGH (Already proved)

∠A = ∠F (Already proved)

∴ ΔDCA ~ ΔHGF (AA similarity criterion)

Central Idea of The Ball Poem is - The poet watches a young boy playing with his ball. The next minute, his ball rolls away from him and fall into the water of the harbor. As the boy watches his ball disappear, he can also feel his childhood slip away from him. He feels himself growing up very fast as he learns that loss is a part of everyday life and that life goes on despite it. The sight of the sad little boy pains the poet, but he knows that growing up is an unavoidable process

Let us consider that 3√2 is a rational number. It can be written in the form p/q (p and q are co-primes). →p/q = 3√2. →p/3q = √2. Now, p/3q = integer/integer = rational number. But, this contradicts the fact that √2 is irrational. Therefore, our assumption that 3√2 is rational is WRONG. Hence, 3√2 is an irrational number. HoPe It HeLpS yOu??

Let us consider that 3root2 is a rational number. It can be written in the form p/q (p and q are co primes)

p/q = 3root2

p/3q = root2

Now,

p/3q = integer/interger

= rational number

But, this contradicts the fact that root2 is irrational.

Therefore, our assumption that 3root2 is rational is WRONG.

Hence, 3root2 is an irrational number.

Rabi season : Rabi crops are sown in winter from October to December and harvested in summer from April to June. Some of the important rabi crops are wheat, barley, peas, gram and mustard. These crops are grown in large parts of India, states from the north and north - western parts such as Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh are important for the production of wheat and other rabi crops. Availability of precipitation during winter months due to the western temperate cyclones helps in the success of these crops.

Kharif season :Kharif crops are grown with the onset of monsoon in different parts of the country and these are harvested in September - October. Important crops grown during this season are paddy, maize, jowar, bajra, tur(arhar), moong, urad, cotton, jute, groundnut and soyabean.

Zaid season : In between the rabi and the kharif seasons, there is a short season during the summer months known as the Zaid season. Some of the crops produced during 'zaid' are watermelon, muskmelon, cumumber, vegetables and fodder crops.

the damage of the ozone layer has been given a great concern because it is the only filter that we have for our earth which filters the ultraviolet rays from the sun which can damage a human in many ways such as skin cancer ,eye disease and also neurophobia etc .so it can be prevented in many ways such as -riding cycles ,and also by controlling the pollution or the smoke coming from the industries infront of petrol vehicles we can use electric vehicles so thats all i hope this answer will help you.

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 2 months ago

Ozone layer protects us from Sun’s harmful UV radiations. It shields the surface of the earth from ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the Sun. This radiation is highly damaging to organisms, for example, it is known to cause skin cancer in human beings.
There is increased concern about the effect of ozone depletion. The depletion of ozone causes the harmful UV rays to reach the earth and this has resulted in increased incidence of skin cancers in humans. UV rays may also cause genetic mutations in living organisms.

To limit the damage to the ozone layer, the release of CFCs into the atmosphere must be reduced. CFCs used as refrigerants and in fire extinguishers should be replaced with environmentally-safe alternatives. Also, the release of CFCs through industrial activities should be controlled.

Lencho has complete faith in God. It can be inferred from the following sentences:-

  • But in the hearts of all who lived in that solitary house in the middle of the valley, there was a single hope: help from God.
  • Don’t be so upset, even though this seems like a total loss. Remember, no one dies of hunger.
  • All through the night, Lencho thought only of his one hope: the help of God, whose eyes, as he had been instructed, see everything, even what is deep in one’s conscience.

A network hub is a node that broadcasts data to every computer or Ethernet-based device connected to it. A hub is less sophisticated than a switch, the latter of which can isolate data transmissions to specific devices.

Network hubs are best suited for small, simple local area network (LAN) environments. Hubs cannot provide routing capabilities or other advanced network services. Because they operate by forwarding packets across all ports indiscriminately, network hubs are sometimes referred to as "dumb switches."
