1. Alluvial soil is considered the most fertile soil. The entire northern plains of India are made of alluvial soil.
2. Alluvial soil contains sand, silt and clay.
3. the alluvial soil is classified as Bangar (old alluvial) and Khadar (new alluvial).
4. Alluvial soil contains an ample amount of potash, phosphoric acid and lime. The soil is thus suitable for the growth of sugarcane.

Planning is widely accepted strategy for
judicious use of resources in a country like India which has enormous diversity in the availability of resources.
(i) There are regions which are rich in certain types of resources, but are deficient in some other resources.
(ii) There are some regions which can be considered self-sufficient in terms of the availability of resources and there are some regions which have acute shortage of some vital resources.
e.g. The states of Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh are rich in minerals and coal deposits. Arunachal Pradesh has abundance of water resources, but lacks in infrastructural development. The state of Rajasthan is very well endowed with solar and wind energy, but lacks in water resources. So, to cope up with all these diversities, planning in required.

Achievements of Mendeléev’s periodic table
- element with a slightly greater atomic mass were placed
before an element with a slightly lower atomic mass with an inverted sequence so as to group the elements with similar properties. For example, cobalt with atomic mass 58.9 was placed before nickel with atomic mass 58.7. - He left some gaps in the Periodic Table with the prediction of
existence of some elements that were not discovered at that time. - He named the future elements by prefixing a Sanskrit numeral, Eka (one) to the name of preceding element in the same group.
- For instance, scandium, gallium and germanium, discovered later, have properties
similar to Eka–boron, Eka–aluminium and Eka–silicon, respectively. - Noble gases like helium (He), neon (Ne) and argon (Ar) were discovered
later as they are present in exceptionally low concentrations in the atmosphere due to their inertness.
Limitations of Mendeléev’s classification
- No fixed position could be assigned to hydrogen in the Periodic Table.
- Isotopes discovered long after Mendeléev periodic classification of
elements imparted a challenge to Mendeleev’s Periodic Law. - The atomic masses of elements did not increase in a steady manner while going from one element to other which made it difficult to predict the number of elements that could be discovered between two elements.

Ohm’s law : When the physical conditions such as temperature etc. remain same, the current flowing through the conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference applied across the ends of the conductor, i.e.,
I ∝ V or V ∝ I
⇒ V/I = constant
⇒ V = IR
Where R is constant of proportionality and is called resistance of the wire.
Necessary condition for validity of Ohm’s law is that physical condition such as temperature of the conductor remains same.
Procedure: Experiment to verify ohm's law
Procedure : 1. Connect the various components as.
2. Close the sky, so that current begins to flow in the circuit.
3. Note down the potential difference (V) across the conductor PQ of resistance R shown by the voltmeter and the corresponding current (I) shown by the ammeter.
4. Now move the knob of rheostat so that the current in the circuit increases.
5. Again note down the potential difference (V) across the conductor R in the voltmeter and current in the circuit shown by ammeter.
6. Repeat the experiment five times by increasing the current in the circuit by moving the knob of the rheostat in steps.
| S. No. | Potential Difference (V) | Current (I) | V/ I |
| 1 | |||
| 2 | |||
| 3 | |||
| 4 |
The value of V/I = R (constant) Plot a graph between V and I by taking V along X- axis along. We get a straight line passing through origin.
Conclusion : From the graph between V and I, we conclude that I = V, which is Ohm's law. Hence Ohm's law is verified experimentally. Ohm's law does not hold under all conditions. Ohm's law does not hold for non-ohmic material such as electrotyte.

Consequences of environmental degradation do
not respect national or state boundaries and can be seen in other parts of the country or world. This can be understood by following points
(i) Land degradation affects the agricultural productivity of land as well as food security. Food requirement of that region will be completed by importing food from other regions. It will create additional pressure on the land resources of exporting regions.
(ii) Addition of greenhouse gases in atmosphere is responsible for increase in temperature. It affects every part of the world whether it is developed or developing country.
(iii) Addition of chlorofluoro carbons in atmosphere is responsible for ozone depletion in Antarctic region. Although source region of CFC can be any part of the world, it is a serious issue of concern for whole world.
(iv) Pollution of water affected the availability of water in whole world.
(v) Pollution of air has created respiratory diseases in humans of all parts of the world because harmful gases imbalanced the composition of atmosphere.

International trade is referred to as the exchange or trade of goods and services between different nations. This kind of trade contributes and increases the world economy. The most commonly traded commodities are television sets, clothes, machinery, capital goods, food, and raw material, etc.,
International trade has increased exceptionally that includes services such as foreign transportation, travel and tourism, banking, warehousing, communication, advertising, and distribution and advertising. Other equally important developments are the increase in foreign investments and production of foreign goods and services in an international country. This foreign investments and production will help companies to come closer to their international customers and therefore serve them with goods and services at a very low rate.

The farmers’ representatives complained that wild boars were causing extensive damage to the standing crops on fields abutting the reserve forests.
Forest Department should take effective steps to put an end to this menace, they told a grievances redress meeting.
They said that wild boars were causing a nuisance in Thammampatti, and Ramanayakkanpalayam which were closer to reserve forests.
The farmers suffer heavy financial losses, they said adding that the matter had already been brought to the notice of the Attur forest division officials.
Many of them pleaded with the forest department to remove wild boar from Schedule VI of the Wildlife Protection Act.An official said that the department had already written to the government to remove wild boar from Schedule VI. The department will erect electric fence, in areas where wild boar menace was severe.
N. Elango, Joint Director of Agriculture, said that the department will sanction compensation for the crop loss if the farmers made proper representation in this regard.
“The agriculture department and forest department officials will conduct joint inspection to fix the quantum of compensation,” he said.
The farmers said that there was not much awareness among the farming community on the government compensation. N. Krishnamoorthy, a progressive farmer of Thumbal, said that a few people of the villages in Attur forest division have been attacked by bears. Such attacks have become a recurring incident.
The forest department should provide compensation to those affected.When the Attur Forest Department official said that the department will take steps to provide compensation if applications were made, the District Collector, V. Sampath, directed the forest officials to collect the petitions and initiate immediate action.
A.R. Shanmugam of Panamarathupatti raised the issue of crops being destroyed by pigs reared by people in the villages.

38220>196 we always divide greater number with smaller one.
Divide 38220 by 196 then we get quotient 195 and no remainder so we can write it as
38220 = 196 * 195 + 0
As there is no remainder so deviser 196 is our HCF

Given sinA=3/4
Or p/h=3/4
Let p=3k and h=4k
Now By Pythagoras theorem
p2 + b2 =h2
9k2 + b2 =16k2
b2 = 7k2
Or b=+k√7
Now CosA=b/h=√7/4
Now tanA=SinA/CosA=3/√7

Yes, we can say that Griffin was a lawless person. He didn't follow the law and order of the country as he thought of having his revenge by setting out fire in his landlord's property. He didn't believe in observing law. He robbed a shopkeeper of all the money he could find. In addition to that, he hit him hard from behind to escape without being seen. He stole the housekeeping money from the clergyman's desk. He also attacked Mrs. Hall with his cap and her furniture when she intruded his room. All these instances prove that he was a lawless person.

O is the centre of the given circle.
A tangent PR has been drawn touching the circle at point P.
Draw QP ⊥ RP at point P, such that point Q lies on the circle.
∠OPR = 90° (radius ⊥ tangent)
Also, ∠QPR = 90° (Given)
∴ ∠OPR = ∠QPR
Now, above case is possible only when centre O lies on the line QP.
Hence, perpendicular at the point of contact to the tangent to a circle passes through the centre of the circle.

o determine focal length of a given concave mirror:
Materials Required
A concave mirror, a measuring scale, a screen a mirror holder and mirror stand.
Procedure
- Select a distant object from the laboratory window (distance should be more than 50 ft).
- Fix the concave mirror on the mirror stand placed on the table, facing the distant object.
- Place the screen in front of the reflecting surface of the mirror. Move the screen back and forth until a clear, sharp image of the distant object is obtained on the screen.
- Measure the distance between the concave mirror and the screen with a metre scale. This distance is the focal length of the given concave mirror. Record the focal length.
- Repeat the above procedure twice and record the readings. Take three readings and calculate the average focal length.

Mendeleev's periodic table is an arrangement of the elements that group similar elements together. He left blank spaces for the undiscovered elements (atomic masses, element: 44, scandium; 68, gallium; 72, germanium; & 100, technetium) so that certain elements can be grouped together.
