The point of observation is at A.

The height of the deck is 10 meters.

Thus, AB = CD = 10 meters

The top and bottom of a hill is E and C.

Therefore the angles of elevation and the depression are .

Let AD = BC = meters.

Consider the triangle ADE.

Thus,

;

Now consider the triangle ABC.

Substitute the value of x from equation (2) in equation (1), we have

Therefore

h = 30 meters  .....(4)

The height of the hill is CE

That is,

Substitute the value of h from equation (4) in equation (5), we hve

Thus, the height of the hill is 40 meters and the distance of the hill from the ship is

1.For that you have to use formula of volume of cone - 1/3 πr²h and you get the answer 19.64 or you can right it 20 cm²

2. For that you have to take volume of cone and volume of hemisphere [ 1/3 πr²h + 2/3πr³]

Step-by-step explanation:

1. volume of cone - 1/3πr²h

= 1/3 × 22/7 × 2.5² × 9

= (22× 6.25) ÷ 7

= 19.64 or 20cm³

2. volume of cone + volume of hemispherical end

= 1/3πr²h + 2/3πr³

= 1/3 × 22/7 × 2.5² × 9 + 2/3 × 22/7 × 2.5³

= 137.5/7 + 687.5/21

= (412.5 + 687.5) ÷ 21

= 1100 ÷ 21

= 52.3 cm³

Dominant trait: The trait which can express its effect over contrasting trait is called a dominant trait. It is expressed even in the presence of one copy of an allele for a particular character in the gene, i.e., it is expressed in the heterozygous condition.

Example: Yy represents dominant trait for yellow seed colour. Seed is yellow even when single copy is dominant allele Y is present.

Sin 30° - 1/2 Cos 30° - √3/2 Sin 60° - √3/2 Cos60° - 1/2 (1/2 + √3/2) - (√3/2 + 1/2) (√3 +1)/2 - (√ 3+1)/2 = 0

Gaurav Seth 5 years ago

(sin30+cos30) - (sin60+cos60)

sin30 = 1/2

sin60= √3/2

cos30= √3/2

cos60= 1/2

=> (1/2+√3/2) - (√3/2+1/2)

=> 1+√3/2 - √3+1/2

=> 1+1+√3-√3 /2

=> 2/2

=>1

HTML ELEMENTS or TAGS
HTML is written in the form of tags. A tag refers to a string enclosed within angular brackets (< and >). HTML elements represent semantics or meaning.

  • HTML tags are predefined and are not case-sensitive.
  • All HTML tags are typed inside the angular brackets (< and >) and the text between these brackets are called elements.
  • The opening tags are written within the less than (<) and greater than (>) signs,
    e.g. <HTML>
  • The closing tags are written within the < and > signs with a forward slash (/) appended before the name of the tag.
    e.g. </HTML>
  • The attributes are always specified in the opening tags, which provides additional information about that tag. It comes in name/value pairs like name = “value”,
    e.g. <FONT size =“5”>

Bholi’s teacher played a very important role in changing her life. She was the first one to have spoken to her affectionately. She encouraged her to speak out her name without any fear. She gave her a book, thereby aiming to inculcate in her the desire to learn. She told her that in time, she would be more learned than anyone else in the village, and no one would ever be able to laugh at her. People would listen to her and respect her. This filled Bholi with a new hope.

We participate in the market both as producers and consumers.
(i) As producers of goods and services we could be working in any of the sectors such as agriculture, industry, or services.
(ii) Consumers participate in the market when they purchase goods and services that they need.
(iii) For example, moneylenders usually adopt various tricks to bind the borrower.They could make the producer sell the produce to them at a low rate in return for a timely loan. They could force small farmers to sell their land to pay
back the loan.

The effects of non-cooperation movement on the economic front were very dramatic as follows:- 1) Foreign goods were boycotted, liquor shops picketed, and foreign cloth burnt in huge bonfires. 2) The import of foreign cloth halved between 1921 and 1922, its value dropping from Rs 102 crore to Rs 57 crore. 3) In many places merchants and traders refused to trade in foreign goods or finance foreign trade. 4) As the boycott movement spread, and people began discarding imported clothes and wearing only Indian ones, production of Indian textile mills and handlooms went up.

because in multicellular organisms the body size is usually complex if the gases and the required substances has to be transferred though diffusion then it to take a long time. For example if the gas is has to be transported through our lungs to the toe than it would take about three years to transfer a molecule of oxygen from our lungs to the toe

Haripal Singh 5 years ago

Because in higher organisms diffusion won't help in transportation and the transportation involves movement of metabolic waste,glucose,water,etc. so to work this out there is a need felt for transportation system for their displacement
