Heterotrophic nutrition is a type of nutrition in which organisms depend upon other organisms for food to survive. Heterotrophic organisms have to take in all the organic substances they need to survive. we are also dependent because we also take vegetables and fruits and from animals we take meat, milk,fisheries. All animals, fungi, and non-photosynthesizing plants are heterotrophic. In contrast, green plants, red algae, brown algae, and cyanobacteria are all autotrophs, which use photosynthesis to produce their own food from sunlight

DNA is a molecule that encodes the genetic instructions used in the development and functioning of all known living organisms and many viruses. DNA is a nucleic acid along with certain proteins and carbohydrates. Nucleic acids compose the three major macromolecules essential for all known forms of life. Most DNA, molecules consist of two biopolymer strands coiled around each other to form a double helix. The two DNA strands are known as polynucleotides since, they are composed of simpler units called nucleotides. Each nucleotide is composed of a nitrogen-containing nucleobase.

Mean of given observations = sum of given observations/ total number of observations
Mean of 25 observations = 27
∴ Sum of 25 observations = 27 × 25 = 675

If 7 is subtracted from every number, then the sum = 675 – (25 × 7) = 675 – 175 = 500
Then, new mean = 500/25 = 20

Thus, the new mean will be 20.

 Democratic government  Non-democratic government
 Democracy is the best form of government as the rulers are accountable to the people and have to fulfill their needs.  The rulers are not accountable to the people and their needs.
 In a democratic government, people elect their rulers and have right in decision making.  In non-democratic governments, people do not elect their rulers and have no right in decision making.
 There is freedom of expression and people enjoy political rights.  There is no freedom of expression and people do not enjoy fundamental rights.
 Example: India, USA.  Example: Saudi Arabia, Zimbabwe.

    12 - 18                        5                                9 + x

    18 - 24                        y                                9 + x + y

     24 - 30                       1                               10 + x + y
______________________________________________
                                      20
______________________________________________

10 + x + y = 20

x + y = 20 - 10

x + y = 10

Median = 14.4

So, Median class is 12 - 18

Median = l + [(N/2 - cf)*i]/f

l = Lower limit of the Median Class = 12

Class Interval = i = 6

Cumulative Frequency (cf) of the class before the Median Class = 4 + x

N = 20

N/2 = 20/2 = 10

f = frequency of the Median Class = 5

⇒ Median = l + [(N/2 - cf)*i]/2

⇒ 14.4 = 12 + {10 - (4 + x)*6]/5

⇒ 14.4 - 12 = {(10 - 4 - x)*6}/5

⇒ 2.4 = {(6 - x)*6}/5

⇒ 2.4 = (36 - 6x)/5

⇒ 2.4*5 = 36 - 6x

⇒ 12 = 36 - 6x

⇒ - 6x = 12 - 36

 - 6x = - 24

⇒ 6x = 24

x = 24/6

x = 4

Since, x + y = 10

4 + y = 10

y = 10 - 4

y = 6

So, the value of x is 4 and the value of y is 6.

The story is about a quiet and shy girl named Wanda Petronski, a Polish immigrant, who had come to America with her family. She attended school with American children who found her name to be strange and probably,  the weirdest in the classroom. This is because they all had easier names. She was poor and was always seen wearing a faded blue dress. Her classmates teased her because she claimed to have a hundred dresses “all lined up” in her closet albeit, always being seen wearing one. The ones who mainly teased her were the two best friends, Peggy and Maddie. Peggy was the most famous girl in school while anyone barely knew Wanda.

Peggy and Maddie used to wait for Wanda before school even if it meant getting late. Maddie, a poor girl herself did not like when Peggy made fun of Wanda. She feared that she could be next. She wanted Peggy to stop making fun of Wanda, but could not summon courage to face her as she feared she’d lose her best friend. However, Peggy’s intention was never to hurt Wanda but she was curious as to why Wanda had to lie that she had a hundred dresses in her closet.

Truth about the same hundred dresses unveiled on the result day of the drawing competition. The room was lined with one hundred drawings portraying different dresses, each so beautiful. That day, she truly had “a hundred dresses all lined up”, but in the classroom. At that moment, Peggy and Maddie, who were awestruck realised the theory of a hundred dresses and felt guilty about having treated her badly
