Lysosomes serve as the intracellular digestive system. They also remove worn out and poorly working cellular organelles by digesting them to make way for their new replacements. Since they remove cell debris, they are called scavengers of the cells.

Meena Kumari 3 years, 4 months ago (13012388)

In simple sentence , we can say that lysosomes have digestive enzymes .When lysosomes burst the digestive enzymes digest their own cell. So, Lysosomes are also called as cellular scavengers.

Adarsh Patel 3 years, 4 months ago (13315942)

Lysosomes are phagocytic (engulf or say destroy the damaged cell organelles) so we can call them cellular scavengers

Smart cards provide a higher level of security than magnetic stripe cards because they contain microprocessors capable of processing data directly without remote connections. Even memory-only smart cards can be more secure because they can store more authentication and account data than traditional mag stripe cards.
