CBSE Class 10 Syllabus 2023-24

CBSE has issued a new syllabus for the session 2023-24. The revised syllabus with reduced topics is now available on the myCBSEguide App or Student Dashboard. Students can access the CBSE syllabus for class 10 for the session 2023-24 in Mathematics, Science, Social, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, French, Music, Arts and other subjects for free on the myCBSEguide app and download it as a PDF.

CBSE Reduced Syllabus 2023-24

CBSE has issued the reduced syllabus for the session 2023-24. Many chapters are deleted this year. You can get the list of deleted chapters and topics from the myCBSEguide App. 

The revised CBSE Syllabus for the 2023-24 board exam issued by CBSE is applicable to all CBSE affiliated public schools including Delhi government schools, KVS and NVS.

What is New in the Class 10 Syllabus?

CBSE has added some new chapters and topics that were deleted last year. CBSE has also deleted some chapters that were part of the curriculum last year. 

Hence, there are many changes in the CBSE class 10 syllabus for the 2023-24 academic year. We advise CBSE board students to go through the new syllabus on the myCBSEguide App App and prepare their topics accordingly. 

The better part of this deletion process is that in most cases, CBSE has deleted the whole chapter or exercise. That's why it is much easier for students as well as teachers to follow that.

• A few old chapters are added back
• The marking scheme has been changed
• Added both MCQs and subjective questions

Notable changes and points to remember in the new pattern:

1. Subjects including Mathematics, Science, English, Social science, Hindi, Sanskrit, Home Science, Music, Painting and others are refreshed as per new CBSE guidelines
2. Sample papers and other study materials are upgraded now with the current syllabus.

It includes the literature part and grammar. English Textbooks are First Flight and Footprints without feet – Supplementary Reader for Class X. The question paper will have four sections viz. Reading, Writing, Grammar and Literature.
