Install NowCCE Syllabus for class 9 English Communicative for session 2010-2011 prescribed for First Term (April 2010 to September 2010) and Second Term (October 2010 to March 2011) issued by CBSE, New Delhi. The complete syllabus is divided into four sections i.e. Reading, Writing, Grammar and Literature. Each section has equal weightage of 20 marks. CBSE has issued new revised text books for English Communicative this year. Students are advised to follow them.
First Term (April 2010 to September 2010) =>
There will be TWO FORMATIVE and ONE SUMMATIVE test in first term. Formative assessments (F1 and F2) will carry total 20 marks (10 marks each) and Summative assessment (S1) will carry 20 Marks.
Thus CCE first term will carry overall 40 Marks (10+10+20=40).
There will be total 15 Questions for 80 marks in First Term Summative Assessment (S1). After marking the answers, it will be reduced to 20 marks. (Marks obtained will be divided by 4).
Second Term (October 2010 to March 2011) =>
There will be TWO FORMATIVE and ONE SUMMATIVE test in second term. Formative assessments (F3 and F4) will carry total 20 marks (10 marks each) and Summative assessment (S2) will carry 40 Marks.
Thus CCE second term will carry overall 60 Marks (10+10+40=60).
There will be total 15 Questions for 80 marks in Second Term Summative Assessment (S2). After marking the answers, it will be reduced to 40 marks. (Marks obtained will be divided by 2).
CBSE has divided Text book chapters, Grammar portion, Writing section and Reading comprehensive in two terms. Separated division is given for Formative assessments and summative assessments.
