Distilled water is a pure type of water which does not contain any ions in it. ... These gases dissolve in water to form some kind of acids like carbonic acids which dissociates to give ions. Thus rainwater is conducting electricity while distilled water is not conducting electricity.

Harshit Yadav 5 years, 3 months ago

This is because distilled water is pure where's rain water contain some impurities that is why rainwater conduct electricity where's distilled water does not

Alcohols and glucose though contain hydrogen but do not ionise in the solution to produce H+ ions. This is proved by the fact that there solutions do not conduct electricity.

Take the solution of dilute hydrochloric solution and glucose. Two nails are fitted on a cork and are kept it in a 100 mL beaker. The nails are then connected to the two terminals of a 6-volt battery through a bulb and a switch.  Dilute HCl is poured in the beaker and current is switched on. Now, the Same experiment is performed with a glucose solution and an alcohol solution.

We will observe that the bulb glows in HCl solution and does not glow in the glucose solution.

Because: HCl dissociate into H + (aq) and Cl -(aq) ions. These ions conduct electricity in the solution resulting in the glowing of the bulb.  On the other hand, the glucose solution does not dissociate into ions. Therefore, it does not conduct electricity.

Conclusion:
From this activity, it can be concluded that all acids contain hydrogen but not all compounds containing hydrogen are acids. That is why, though compounds like alcohols and glucose contain hydrogen, they are not categorized as acids.

For example, if the file had a read-only attribute, the file cannot have any changes (write protection), and can only be read. See our file attributes definition for further information about this type of an attribute.

Bholi was a simple, but sensitive girl. Unfortunately, she suffered from a head injury and small pox. It made her suffer all through her life. She couldn't speak till she was five. She stammered when she started speaking. The attack of smallpox had permanently disfigured her whole body leaving black pock marks.  She was a hard working and dedicated learner. With her teacher’s support, she grew to be confident, bold and independent. Seeing her teacher's faith in her abilities, she made efforts to improve herself. Her confident and bold attitude to raise her voice against a social evil proved that she was educated in true sense of terms.

The current through both the resistors remain the same and equals the total current in the circuit as in a series combination, only potential is distributed, current reamins as it is.
In a series connection of resistors, the same current passes through all the resistors. Hence, current will be same. Ratio of the current will be 1 : 1.

ANSWER :  Growth of nationalism in the colonies is linked to an anti-colonial movement because: Colonisation affected people's freedom. The sense of oppression and exploitation became a common bond for people of different groups which resulted in the growth of nationalist ideals.

Ujjwal Yadav 5 years, 3 months ago

Nationalism is a feeling that combines all the people of the nation into a single unit. It is a powerful sentiment that binds people together in a common bond beyond their communal, lingual, caste or religious differences. In all the colonies of the world, the imperialist power exploited the people socially, religiously, economically and politically.  Colonization affected people's freedom, and nationalist sentiments surged during the process of struggle against imperial domination. The sense of oppression and exploitation became a common bond for people from different walks of life, and this resulted in the growth of nationalist ideals. Although each class or group of people felt that they were being oppressed under colonialism, the effects of colonialism were felt differently. People started uniting against the colonialism which strengthened the sense of nationalism further. Thus, the growth of nationalism in the colonies is linked to anti-colonial movements.

Lencho was a simple and hard working farmer .

Saswata Sahoo 5 years, 3 months ago

You have written the wrong question. The correct question will be who is Lencho?

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 3 months ago

Lencho was a simple man and a hardworking farmer.
Lencho’s entire crops were badly destroyed by the hailstorm. So, he became very sad as he was worried about his family. He was an optimistic person. Although his only source of living was taken away, he didn’t lose hope. He had his last hope in God. He was confident that God would help him in his distress. Lencho was an innocent atheist who didn’t know that there was no such living person as God who could send him money. He had blind faith in God and sought solution of his problem from God only.

Clock rule: The polarity of any face of circular current loop can be determined by using clock rule, as shown in Fig. If the current round any face of the loop flows in anticlockwise direction, it behaves like a north pole. If the current flows in the clockwise direction, the face behaves like a south pole.

Fig. Clock rule.
