उत्तर : बड़े भाई साहब को मन की इच्छाएँ दबानी पड़ती थी क्योंकि वे अपने ऊपर पढ़ाई का बहुत भार अनुभव करते थे। वैसे उनका मन भी अन्य लड़कों की तरह खेलने को करता था. लेकिन पढ़ाई का भार सदैव उन्हें मन की इच्छाओं को दबाने के लिए मजबूर करता था। बड़ा भाई छोटे भाई के सम्मुख अपना आदर्श प्रस्तुत करना चाहता था। वह कहता भी है-"इतने मेले-तमाशे होते हैं. मुझे तुमने कभी देखने जाते देखा है? रोज़ ही क्रिकेट और हॉकी के मैच होते हैं। मैं पास नहीं फटकता। हमेशा पढ़ता रहता हूँ।"
