Spherical mirrors are generally of two types namely concave mirror and convex mirror. A spherical mirror whose reflecting surface is pointed towards the centre of the sphere of which the reflecting surface of the mirror is a part is known as CONCAVE MIRROR. Whereas, CONVEX MIRROR is a spherical mirror whose reflecting surface is pointed away from the centre od the sphere of which the reflecting surface of the mirror is a part.

The blood of a patient whose kidneys are completely damaged, filtered through a dialysis machine or dialyser. It removes urea and excess of salts from the blood. It is also called artificial kidney or kidney machine. The process of purifying blood by an artificial kidney is called hemodialysis. ??????? ?? ???????????? :- •Blood of the patient is taken out from main artery, cooled to 0°C and mixed with anticoagulant such as heparin. • Blood is pumped into an artificial kidney. Here blood flows through channels or tubes formed of semipermeable membrane of cellophane. •Cellophane tubes are kept in a dialysing fluid which contains sone small solutes and mineral ions. When the blood flows through these cellophane tubes the nitrogenous wastes like urea, uric acid, creatinine, etc., diffuse out in the dialysing fluid. •The blood that comes out of the artificial kidney is pure blood. It is then warmed to body temperature and mixed with antiheparin to restore its normal coagulability and is returned to the vein of the patient. •Haemodialysis prolongs the life of uraemic patients.

In humans, the transport system is known by the name BLOOD CIRCULATORY SYSTEM. It has mainly three components namely :- 1)BLOOD = acts as the major medium for transportation in humans. This fluid connective tissue is responsible for the transport of substances like RESPIRATORY GASES (RBCs), NUTRIENTS, NITROGENOUS WASTE MATERIALS and MINERALS (Plasma) as well as for fighting toxic foreign substances like pathogens (WBCs) and has its own system to prevent leaks (Platelets). 2) BLOOD VESSELS = carries blood in a bidirectional manner and is strong enough to carry blood moving at different pressures based on their structural adaptations. 3) HEART = is the main pumping organ in the human body and pumps blood in a bidirectional manner across the body of the organism so that materials are effectively transported.
