Sir,
Subject: Use of Public Transport
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I am writing this letter to bring your attention to the advantages of public transport usage.
Everybody can observe easily that the increase in the number of private vehicles on the road is the major cause of air as well as noise pollution. More vehicles mean more congestion and traffic jams because the public has become devoid of civic sense. Everybody tries to move first and fast which not only increases the chance of accidents but also causes a lot of noise pollution. An easy and quick solution to the problem is that we should make more and more use of public transport. It'll prove more comfortable as it will save both our energy and time and we can use that energy at our workplace. The usage of Public transport will decrease the major traffic jams from the roads. Moreover, I want to make an appeal to the vehicle-owner to practice patience while driving because our life is very precious. It is better to reach late than never.
This is a matter of great concern and I hope to hear your reply soon.
Thanking you
Yours truly,
Ram.

Type casting refers to changing an variable of one data type into another. The compiler will automatically change one type of data into another if it makes sense. For instance, if you assign an integer value to a floating-point variable, the compiler will convert the int to a float.

  1. Nationalism is a feeling of people within state territory, which makes them develop a sense of collective identity and shares history or descent. This feeling works as a binding force among people.
  2. Before 1789, France was under the absolute monarchy. With the French revolution, Monarch was thrown out and a sovereign body of French citizens was established.

This revolution made France the nation-state and made many political and constitutional changes like:

  1. The idea of the fatherland and citizen was created to put stress on a community which enjoyed equal rights under the constitution.
  2. A new French flag was adopted to replace the former royal standard.
  3.  The Estates General was elected by the body of active citizens and given the name of the National Assembly.
  4. Centralized administration and uniform civil laws were made for citizens.
  5. Uniform weighing and measurement system were adopted.
  6. French became the national language of France.
  7.  In the name of the nation, new hymns and songs were composed and oaths were taken.
  8. Martyrs were honoured.

All these changes give a clear expression of collectivism and gave people true power to shape the destiny of France. Thus, France became a nation-state and the world got a clear expression of nationalism through the French revolution.
