The main reason for this was the active participation of the big industrialists. The industrialists stood against the limiting policies of the British government that restricted the business activities in India. But, some workers participated in the movement.

The French Revolution was a time of social and political upheaval in France and its colonies that began in 1789 and ended in 1799. Inspired by liberal and radical ideas, Its overthrow of the Monarchy influenced the decline of absolute Monarchies in other parts of Europe. The French Revolution also propounded the principle of democracy in the political field. It gave importance to the doctrine of 'popular sovereignty' by ending the monarchy based on divine principles. Declaration of human rights, principles of liberty, equality, and fraternity made humans an important part of history

Solve case study Use the Cornell note taking method to make notes of the following passage Everyone needs a holiday, both to relax and to have a change of environment. The holidaymakers feel relaxed and refreshed at the end of the holiday and look forward to the resumption of their duties, be it at school, office, or factories, with renewed vigour. This is the reason why all establishments grant their employees annual leave. With the end of the academic year, the schools and universities grant their pupils a long holiday during mid-summer. This lasts until early September when the new school term starts. Of course, the parents will like to take advantage of this and take their leave to coincide with the children’s vacations. This has become a traditional holiday season in most European countries, particularly in England. With the coming of August, the traditional holiday season in Britain reaches its peak point and most of the holiday resorts are packed to capacity. In order to avoid the crowd, some prefer to take their holiday a little earlier if facilities so warrant. Those who have already taken their holidays can console themselves not only with reflections on the happy days spent in the country, at the seaside or abroad but also with the thought that holiday expenses are over for the year and that by taking an earlier holiday they have missed the August rush.

Mahatma Gandhi declared that British rule was established in India with the cooperation of Indians and if they had refused to cooperate, British rule in India would have been collapsed within a year. He proposed that the movement should unfold in stages. It should begin with the surrendering of titles that the government had awarded to the Indians. A boycott of civil services, army, police, courts and legislative assemblies, schools and foreign goods would show their non-cooperation to the British Empire. Mahatma Gandhi felt that in case the government used suppression, a full civil disobedience campaign would be launched.

The countries of the Middle-East may have very high Per Capita Income due to revenues from crude oil, but they are otherwise not developed in each sector (except Israel). Their literacy rate, life expectancy at birth and other similar parameters do not match those of developed countries of the West. The probable reason is that they have become rich nations recently due to a sharp increase in the price of oil, but their society has not developed accordingly. Most of the wealth is accumulated in a few hands, i.e. there is an unequal distribution of wealth. The gap between the poor and rich is very wide in these countries. They are not developed because they lack other developmental facilities such as health care facilities, education, etc.

In short because only PCI is not the criterion for ranking a country but also the healthcare and education, which are not actually developed or offered to its citizens by some countries. that's why they are not developed.
