let us suppose 2√3 is a rational no then their positive integer a and b such that 2√3=a/b(where a and b are co-primes and their HCF=1) 2√3=a/b √3=a/2b From this, a/2b is a rational number. Also,√3 is rational number. But, we know √3 is an irrational number. So, our supposition is wrong. Hence, 2√3 is an irrational number. Hence proved

Anupam Yadav 3 years, 2 months ago

Nearsightedness (myopia) is a common vision condition in which near objects appear clear, but objects farther away look blurry. Myopia is caused by the shape of the eye; either the eyeball is slightly too long or the cornea (the clear covering of the front of the eye) is too steeply curved. Myopia is corrected by spectacles or contact lenses with lenses which are 'minus' or concave in shape.

Given, a4 = 0
a + (n - 1)d = 0 [n = 4]
a + 3d = 0
a = -3d
From LHS, a25 = a + (n - 1)d
= a + (25 - 1)d
= a + 24d [∵∵ a = -3d]
= -3d + 24d = 21d
From RHS, a11 = a + (n - 1)d
= a + (11 - 1)d = a + 10d [∵∵ a = -3d]
= -3d + 10d
= 7d
∴∴ Hence, a25 = 3 ×× a11

According to the spherical lens, the sign convention is as follows: The object should always be to the left of the lens. All the distances are calculated from the ocular centre of the mirror.

Arpit Sahu 3 years, 2 months ago

The sign conventions followed for any spherical mirror are given as: All distances are measured from the pole of a spherical error Distances measured in the direction of incident light are taken as positive while distances measured in a direction opposite to the direction of the incident light are taken as negative.

Anupam Yadav 3 years, 2 months ago

SIGN CONVENTIONS: For a mirror or lens, the light rays come into the optical device from one side; let's call this the “IN” side. The light rays leave the mirror or lens on the “OUT” side. For a mirror, the “OUT” side is the same side as the “IN” side; for a lens, it's the opposite.
