The biogas plant consists of a dome-like structure. Organic material such as discarded food residue, fats, sludge, cow dung etc. are mixed with water and fed to the digester through the inlet as shown in the figure.
The digester is a sealed chamber where anaerobic decomposition of organic matter takes place. After a few days, the organic matter completely decomposes to generate gases like methane, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and hydrogen sulphide. These gases are then drawn through pipes from the storage tank above the digester and distributed through decentralization channels to nearby centres for use.

The human male reproductive system consists of:
- Testes - Are the primary reproductive organs in males which are in pair. These are oval shaped organs which lie outside the abdominal cavity. It makes the male *** cells called sperms and produces male *** hormones called testosterone. The testes are situated in the scrotal sac outside the main body cavity because the formation of sperms requires a lower temperature than the normal body temperature.
- ******* - Is a muscular pouch which houses the testes. It is present outside the abdominal cavity and maintains a lower temperature than the normal body temperature.
- Epididymis - The sperms formed in the testes goes into a coiled tube called epididymis which stores the sperms temporarily.
- Vas Deferens (sperm duct) - It is a long tube which carries the sperms from epididymis to another tube called urethra.
- Seminal vesicles and prostrate gland - Both these glands are present along the path of vas deferens and add their secretions to sperms which allows them to transport easily.
- ***** - It is an organ which passés the sperms from the man's body into the ****** in the women's body during mating.

- Mendeleev’s Periodic Table:
- Mendeleev believed that the atomic mass of an element was the most fundamental property in classifying elements.
- Mendeleev arranged elements in the increasing order of their atomic masses and observed that the elements showed repetition after certain intervals in their physical and chemical properties.
- He arranged the known elements in the increasing order of their atomic masses in horizontal rows, till he encountered an element which had properties similar to the first element.
- Mendeleev placed the element below the first element and started the second row of elements.
- Proceeding in this way, he created the first periodic table containing 63 elements, arranged according to their properties.
Mendeleev’s Periodic Law: The physical and chemical properties of elements are a periodic function of their atomic masses.
Features of Mendeleev’s Periodic Table:
- There are seven horizontal rows in the periodic table, numbered from 1 to 7. These seven rows are called periods.
- There are eight vertical columns numbered from I to VIII. These eight columns are called groups. Groups I to VII are further divided into sub groups A and B.
- The properties of elements in a particular period show regular gradation from left to right.
