Saturated hydrocarbons: In this type of hydrocarbons, the carbon atoms are connected by a single covalent bond. These are called alkane and general formula CnH2n+2 where n=1,2,3….etc. These are less reactive as they contain strong sigma bond. They do not undergo hydrogenation reaction. For example: CH4.
Unsaturated hydrocarbons: In this type of hydrocarbons, the carbon atoms are connected by multiple bonds like double or triple bonds. The double bonded compounds are called alkene and has general formula CnH2n and triple bonded compounds are called alkynes and has general formula CnH2n-2. These are more reactive as they contain one or more pi bonds which can be easily broken. They can undergo hydrogenation reaction. For example: CH2=CH2 is an alkene.

An ecosystem is defined as a place where living and nonliving things live together interacting with each other for the sustenance of life. The two main components of an ecosystem include- biotic (living) and abiotic (nonliving) components.
Ponds and lakes are natural ecosystems where many organisms live. Thus in these ecosystems, toxic waste (ammonia) produced by living organisms is converted into the harmless form by the activity of decomposers. An aquarium contains only fishes and no decomposers. Therefore, it is necessary that the toxic ammonia produced by the fishes should be regularly removed by changing water in an aquarium.

During this British rule, Gandhiji protested a lot with various non violent behaviours.
One of this most famous agendas is the "Salt march of Dandi" which is also known as the "Civil disobedience movement",in the year of 1930.
The women population also joined in this movement, because;
1)Salt is the essential component for cooking,and at that time period,mostly women were in-charge of household kitchens.
That's why when British government prohibited the Indian salt production,the women also got their motivation to join such movements.
2)Women population were heavily convinced by the Gandhi's speech and motivation.

Soap and detergents help insoluble particles to become soluble in water. It makes the cleaning easy. Oil or fats are insoluble in water. Soap molecules has two parts- the polar head and the long hydrocarbon tail. The insoluble oil/fat molecules become associated inside the micelle formed by soap molecules with polar hydrophilic (water-loving) groups on the outside and encasing a hydrophobic (water-hating) pocket, which shields the oil/fat molecules from the water making it soluble. Once the dirt or fat molecules are dissolved in water, it can be rinsed away easily.

Urine formation is carried out by the excretory system. The nephrons play a major role in this. They carry out urine formation in various steps like glomerular filtration, selective reabsorption and tubular secretion.
1. Each nephron has a glomerulus, the site of blood filtration. The glomerulus is a network of capillaries surrounded by a cuplike structure, the glomerular capsule (or Bowman’s capsule). As blood flows through the glomerulus, blood pressure pushes water and solutes from the capillaries into the capsule through a filtration membrane. This glomerular filtration begins the urine formation process.
2. Inside the glomerulus, blood pressure pushes fluid from capillaries into the glomerular capsule through a specialized layer of cells. This layer, the filtration membrane, allows water and small solutes to pass but blocks blood cells and large proteins. Those components remain in the bloodstream. The filtrate flows from the glomerular capsule further into the nephron.
3. The resulting filtrate contains waste, but also other substances the body needs: essential ions, glucose, amino acids, and smaller proteins. When the filtrate exits the glomerulus, it flows into a duct in the nephron called the renal tubule
4. Waste ions and hydrogen ions pass from the capillaries into the renal tubule. This process is called secretion. The secreted ions combine with the remaining filtrate and become urine. The urine flows out of the nephron tubule into a collecting duct. It passes out of the kidney and down to the bladder.
Urine is a liquid or water waste product that passes through your urinarytract and is expelled from your body through your urethra. It contains 90-95% water.

- In a democratic government, the working of the government machinery is transparent. It means a citizen can enquire if any decision was taken based on prescribed norms and procedures. Thus, a democratic government follows procedures and is accountable to the people.
- The government is legitimate if it is elected by the citizens of the country in free and fair elections.
- A government is said to be responsive government when it responds to the demands of the public and considers it very much part of the government. For example, after a prolonged period of mass protest and negotiation, the UPA government had to finally agree to people’s demand and introduce the Lokpal Bill in the Parliament. Even though, there still remains certain glitches in its implementation, the very fact that the government was forced to act on people’s demand is testimony to its responsive credentials.

Ratio of the height of a tower and the length of its shadow is given by
{tex}\sqrt{3}:1{/tex}
So, we will use tangent of triangle to find the angle of elevation:
{tex}\tan \theta=\dfrac{\text{Height of tower}}{\text{Length of shadow}}\\\\\tan \theta=\dfrac{\sqrt{3}}{1}\\\\tan \theta=\tan 60^\circ\\\\\theta=60^\circ{/tex}
Hence, the angle of the elevation of the sun is 60°.
