Fertilisation is possible if mating takes place during the middle of menstrual cycle because in a normal healthy girl the ovulation takes place on the 14th day of the beginning of menstrual cycle of 28 days. The embedding of embryo in the thick lining of the uterus is called implantation. The lining thickens and is richly supplied with blood to nourish the growing embryo. If however, the egg is not fertilised, then the thick lining of the uterus is not required and the uterus lining breaks down and comes out through the ****** in the form of blood and mucous. This is called menstruation.

The prism has split the incident white light into a band of colours. The splitting of light into its component colours is called dispersion. The white light is dispersed into its seven-colour components by a prism. Different colours of light bend through different angles with respect to the incident ray, as they pass through a prism. The red light bends the least while the violet the most.
