To apply completing the square method, the quadratic equation must be in the form of

ax² + bx + c = 0

Step 1 :

In the given quadratic equation ax² + bx + c = 0, divide the complete equation by a (coefficient of x²).

If the coefficient of x² is 1 (a = 1), the above process is not required.

Step 2 :

Move the number term (constant) to the right side of the equation.

Step 3 :

In the result of step 2, write the "x" term as a multiple of 2.

Examples :

6x should be written as 2(3)(x).

5x should be written as 2(x)(5/2).

Step 4 :

The result of step 3 will be in the form of

x² + 2(x)y = k

Step 4 :

Now add y² to each side to complete the square on the left side of the equation.

Then,

x² + 2(x)y + y² = k + y²

Step 5 :

In the result of step 4, if we use the algebraic identity

(a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b²

on the left side of the equation, we get

(x + y)² = k + y²

Step 6 :

Solve (x + y)² = k + y² for x by taking square root on both sides.

Valli was a wonderful girl,mature, practical,self respecting,and clever beyond her age .Her favourite past time was standing in the front doorway and watching what all that was going on in the street.She was also a great planner.She frugally saved each penny which came her way for her first bus journey and in that journey she was full of excitement and enthusiasm. She was confident and wanted to do things on her own.Infact ,she had planned her bus trip during her mother's nap hours and her mother never knew of the bus journey which valli had undertaken during her afternoon nap.

Yes, i think that Mrs Pumphrey must have changed her way of caring for Tricki after his illness ....because she loved Tricki very much.she felt very guilty when she ignored Dr. Herriot's instructions. She think that her negligence had resulted in Tricki's obesity. She didnt think that one day Tricki was in danger because of her....so now she realized that excess of something is harmful for life....so she changed the way of caring for Tricki....she gave healthy food and provide exercise to Tricki...so that he could stay healthy...........................

Lencho's entire field had been damaged by the heavy strom followed me the hailstroms. So he write a letter to god for help. He wrote that if god didn't help him, he and his family will go hungry this year.He need a hundred of pesos in order sow his field again and to live until the crop comes.
