The Slash and Burn agriculture is also known as " Podu " Cultivation or Shifting Cultivation or Jhumming Cultivation.

In this cultivation the farmers used to clear some parts of forest by burning them. As the ash improves the fertility of soil. There they sow the seeds. After harvesting they moved their cultivation to other areas.

This was first followed in Africa and some parts of India. Now most of the countries have banned this type of Cultivation because it results to the deforestation of many forests.

Koda Roshan 5 years, 7 months ago

In slash and burn agricuture, a singl3 piece of land is used to burn and after that soil becomes more fertile for cultivation.

The process of digestion of fats begins in the stomach. The glands of stomach secrete a small amount of gastric lipase that breaks down the fats present in the food. From the stomach the partially digested food goes into small intestine where the pancreatic lipase breaks down the emulsified fats. The walls of small intestine secrete intestinal juice which converts the fats into fatty acids and glycerol.
