A situation in which a debt is difficult or impossible to repay, typically because high interest payments prevent repayment of the principal.
An incentive structure that lures individuals into accepting long-term debt obligations under conditions that strongly favor the lender. Victims of debt traps are often prevented from discharging the debt through techniques such as unusually high or variable interest rates, changing payment plans, and unreasonably high penalties for late payments.

- Redox reaction (oxidation-reduction reactions) are marked by the transfer of electrons. During oxidation, a substance tends to lose its electrons whereas, during reduction, a substance tends to gain electrons.
- Photosynthesis is a process in which plants containing chlorophyll convert the carbon dioxide into sugars in the presence of sunlight by a set of redox reactions.
- Calvin cycle represents a set of reactions which are used to remove electrons from water which are then used to turn carbon dioxide into organic compounds.
- Redox reactions during photosynthesis :
It involves two major steps -
- The first step is the oxidation in oxygen in water molecule in the presence of light
2H2O → O2 + 4H+
The second step is the reduction step where hydrogen ions reduce the carbon in carbondioxide
4H+ + CO2 → (CH2O) + H20
The net reaction is
CO2 + H2O → (CH2O) + H2O

In a federal form of government, the central government shares its powers with the various constituent units of the country. For example, in India, power is divided between the government at the Centre and the various State governments.
In a unitary form of government, all the power is exercised by only one government. For example, in Sri Lanka, the national government has all the powers.
