Air gap (networking) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. An air gap, air wall or air gapping is a network security measure employed on one or more computers to ensure that a secure computer network is physically isolated from unsecured networks, such as the public Internet or an unsecured local area network. An air gap is completely insulator i.e. very high electrical resistance ≈ 109 Ωm, since it consists of molecules of oxygen and nitrogen. There are no free electrons. However, application of very high potential ionizes air and it becomes conducting, the potential gradient required is 3x106 V/m.

It was also decided that the Congress would boycott the Round Table Conference being held in London and observe 26 January 1930 as the first independence day of India.

  • The economic depression of 1929 and resultant political and socio-economic tensions intensified anti-imperialist mood, thus making the Civil Disobedience Movement inevitable. Agricultural prices began to fall from 1926 and collapsed after 1930. Due to the fall in demand and exports, the Indian farmers found it difficult to sell their harvest and pay their revenue. This caused immense tension in the countryside.
  • Another major reason for the movement was the appointment of a statutory commission under sir John Simon. It was set up in response to the national movement and was to look into the constitutional reform in India. The major problem with the commission was that it did not had a single Indian member.
