Blood is a red coloured liquid which circulates in our body. It is red because it contains a pigment called haemoglobin in its red cells whereas lymph is a light yellow liquid. It is a medium of circulation in human body which flows only in one direction - from body tissues to the heart.

Arteries are the vessels which carry blood away from the heart to various organs of the body. Since the blood emerges from the heart under high pressure, the arteries have thick, elastic walls. Veins collect the blood from different organs and bring it back to the heart. They do not need thick walls because the blood is no longer under pressure, instead they have valves that ensure that the blood flows only in one direction. On reaching an organ or tissue, the artery divides into smaller and smaller vessels to bring the blood in contact with all the individual cells, called capillaries.

In 1913, Henry Moseley proved that the atomic number is the fundamental property rather than its atomic mass.
Modern Periodic Law: Properties of elements are a periodic function of their atomic numbers.
The periodic table, based on the Modern Periodic Law is called the Modern Periodic Table.
The horizontal rows in the Modern Periodic Table are called periods.
The Modern Periodic Table consists of seven periods which are numbered from 1 to 7.
In each period, a new shell starts filling up. The period number is also the number of shell which starts filling up.
The vertical columns are called groups and consist of eighteen groups numbered from 1 to 18.
Elements having the same number of valence electrons are present in the same group.

Lemma is a proven statement used for proving another statement while algorithm is a series of well defined steps which gives a procedure for solving a type of a problem.
Euclid's division lemma: For given any positive integers a and b there exist unique integers q and r satisfying a = bq + r, 0 ≤ r < b.
Euclid's division algorithm is used for finding the Highest Common Factor of two numbers where in we apply the statement of Euclid's division lemma.
