0.5

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 6 months ago

For reflection from a plane mirror, distance between object and mirror = distance between mirror and the image=0.25m

So, distance between object and image
= (distance between object and mirror) + (distance between mirror and image)
=(0.25+0.25)m
=0.5m

So, option (c) is correct option.

Combustion Reaction: Carbon and carbon compounds give carbon dioxide, vapor, heat and light on burning in air. Following are some of the examples of combustion reaction of organic compounds:

C + O2 → CO2 + Heat + Light

Oxidation: In combustion reaction, carbon compounds are oxidized in the presence of oxygen. The following example is different because alkaline KMnO4 is the oxidizing agent in this reaction.

CH3CH2OH + (Alkaline KMnO4/Acidified K2Cr2O7) →  CH3COOH

A reaction in which one reactant undergoes oxidation whereas the other gets reduced during the course of reaction are termed as oxidation-reduction reactions or redox reactions. Oxidation refers to the loss of electrons or increase in oxidation state by a molecule, atom, or ion. Reduction refers to the gain of electrons or decrease in oxidation state by a molecule, atom, or ion.

Consider the following redox reaction.

  • Burning sugars, such as glucose (C6H12O6) and the fatty acids in the fats we eat.

C6H12O6(aq) + 6 O2(g) --> 6 CO2(g) + 6 H2O(l)

Unification of Britian took place in 1707 when the kingdoms of England and Scotland formed an union. These kingdoms were earlier separate although they were ruled by the same monarch from London. With the 1707 alliance, Britain became a united political system. This is german unification. Whereas Camillo di Cavour directed Italian unification, a Junker (the Prussian name for an aristocratic landowner from old Prussia in the east) named Otto von Bismarck pushed German unification through "blood and iron" and skillful understanding of realpolitik.

  •  Horizontal Division of Power- It is the sharing of power among the different organs of government, for example, power sharing by the executive, the Legislature and the Judiciary. In this type of power-sharing arrangement, different organs of government, placed at the same level, exercised different powers. Such a separation ensures that none of the organs can exercise unlimited power, thereby putting a check on each other.
  •  Vertical Division of Power- It is a system of power sharing among governments at different levels. For example, a general government for the entire country and governments at provincial or regional levels. In India, we refer to it as the Central Government, State Governments, Municipality, Gram Panchayat etc. The Constitution lays down the powers of different levels of government.
