- After a failed round table conference, Gandhiji launched the civil disobedience movement.

- In retaliation by the British government,  Indian leaders were arrested, angry crowds demonstrated in the streets of Peshawar, facing armoured cars and police firing.

- Hundreds of people were killed.

- A month later, Gandhiji himself was arrested, industrial workers attacked police posts, government buildings, law courts and railway stations and various structures that were directly working for the British rule.

- Even the peaceful satyagrahis were attacked, women and children were beaten, and about 100,000 people were arrested.

- To break the deadline between Congress and the government Lord Irwin invited Gandhiji for a peace pact that was called Gandhi—Irwin pact.
- As a consequence to the above reasons, Gandhiji decided to call off the movement.

I would have responded positively to Gandhiji's call by refusing to pay the Zamindar's illegal demands, ask for reduction of the revenue demands to areasonable amount and also ask for security for tenure. In short, I would boycott the system of Zamindari as exists today, in a non-violent manner.

Sadness is also a very active, lively, emotion. This may surprise us but the goal of sadness is actually to help us feel strong, alive and courageous in the face of life's adversities. It forces us to stop and focus, and so it is common to feel more tired, slower, and less receptive to everything around us.

? Pranali.A.P ? 5 years, 6 months ago

Sadness is an emotional pain associated with, or characterized by, feelings of disadvantage, loss, despair, grief, helplessness, disappointment and sorrow. An individual experiencing sadness may become quiet or lethargic, and withdraw themselves from others.

ANSWER In the 1800s, nationalist feelings were strong in the hearts of the middle-class Germans. They united in 1848 to create a nation-state out of the numerous German States. But the monarchy and the military got together to repress them and they gained support from the landowners of Prussia (the Junkers) too. Prussia soon became the leader of the German unification movement. Its Chief Minister Otto von Bismarck was the architect of the process with support from Prussian army and Prussian bureaucracy. The unification process was completed after Prussia won wars with Austria, Denmark, and France over seven years time. In January 1871, the Prussian king, William I, was proclaimed the German Emperor in a ceremony held at Versailles.

Rocks that r formed due to the deposition and solidification of sediments ,especially sediments transported by water. They r often deposit in layers ( hope u got it)..

Prakash Pant 5 years, 6 months ago

Sedimentary rocks are formed from pre-existing rocks or pieces of once-living organisms. They form from deposits that accumulate on the Earth's surface. Sedimentary rocks often have distinctive layering or bedding. Many of the picturesque views of the desert southwest show mesas and arches made of layered sedimentary rock. Common Sedimentary Rocks: Common sedimentary rocks include sandstone, limestone, and shale. These rocks often start as sediments carried in rivers and deposited in lakes and oceans. When buried, the sediments lose water and become cemented to form rock. Tuffaceous sandstones contain volcanic ash. Clastic Sedimentary Rocks: Clastic sedimentary rocks are the group of rocks most people think of when they think of sedimentary rocks. Clastic sedimentary rocks are made up of pieces (clasts) of pre-existing rocks. Pieces of rock are loosened by weathering, then transported to some basin or depression where sediment is trapped. If the sediment is buried deeply, it becomes compacted and cemented, forming sedimentary rock. Clastic sedimentary rocks may have particles ranging in size from microscopic clay to huge boulders. Their names are b ased on their clast or grain size. The smallest grains are called clay, then silt, then sand. Grains larger than 2 millimeters are called pebbles. Shale is a rock made mostly of clay, siltstone is made up of silt-sized grains, sandstone is made of sand-sized clasts, and conglomerate is made of pebbles surrounded by a matrix of sand or mud. Biologic Sedimentary Rocks: Biologic sedimentary rocks form when large numbers of living things die. Chert is a example for this type of rock, and this is one of the ways limestone can form. Limestone can also form by precipitating out of the water
