A Bunsen burner flame produces energy from burning gas.  If the air hole is open the flame burns in plenty of oxygen. Combustion is complete and a blue flame is seen. Increasing the amount of fuel gas flow through the tube by opening the needle valve will increase the size of the flame. However, unless the airflow is adjusted as well, the flame temperature will decrease because an increased amount of gas is now mixed with the same amount of air, starving the flame of oxygen.

The sources of energy which have been in use since a long time are called conventional sources of energy. Coal, petroleum, natural gas, hydel energy, wind energy and nuclear energy are considered to be the conventional sources of energy. Additionally, firewood is also a conventional source of energy but its usage is now limited to kitchens in rural parts of India.

Germany and Italy were politically unified when leaders mobilised nationalist feeling in upper class circles and carried out aggressive foreign policies and nationalism threatened the existence of the Hapsburg monarchy. The unification of Germany and Italy altered the balance of power in Europe. Although the achievement of Prussian dominance within the Confederation was one of Bismarck's greatest accomplishments, the unification of the German states into a single large nation is perhaps most significant because it transformed Germany into an important world power of both the 19th and 20th centuries.

Compass needle get deflected when brought near a bar magnet because compass neddle is made up of a magnet. As we know magnet follow property of repulsion that is why compass needle gets deflected.

Ishika ? 5 years, 6 months ago

Thanks neha....(what happened neha i think you are sad)?

? Pranali.A.P ? 5 years, 6 months ago

The needle of a compass is a small magnet. That's why when a compass needle is brought near a bar magnet, its magnetic field lines interact with that of the bar magnet. Hence, a compass needle gets deflected.

Add a shebang line to the top of the script: #!/usr/bin/env python. Mark the script as executable: chmod +x myscript.py. Add the dir containing it to your PATH variable. (If you want it to stick, you'll have to do this in . bashrc or . bash_profile in your home dir.) export PATH=/path/to/script:$PATH.

Thanks you both of you........(hi avi...)☺️
The direction of magnetic field lines at a place can be determined by using a compass needle. A compass needle placed near a magnet gets deflected due to the magnetic force exerted by the magnet. The north end of the needle of the compass indicates the direction of magnetic field at the point where it is placed ?❤️☺️☺️

Ishita Khadpe 5 years, 6 months ago

The direction of a magnetic field at a point is determined by placing a small compass needle. The N - pole of compass indicates the direction of magnetic field at that point.

INERTIA OF MOTION INERTIA OF REST
(1) The inherent property of a body by virtue of which it cannot change its state of motion, is called inertia of motion .
(2)It is due to inertia of motion that a rotating fan continues to rotate for some time even after it is switched off or a person falls when he jumps from a moving bus.
(1) The inherent property of a body by virtue of which it cannot change its position of rest, is called inertia of rest .

(2) It is due to inertia of rest that passengers in a vehicle get a backward jerk when the vehicle starts suddenly or fruits hanging from a branch fall down when the branch is shaken

Intertia is that property whis can restist in the state if motion.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 6 months ago

An object cannot change its state of rest or state of uniform motion in a straight line by itself. In other words, all objects resist a change in their state of rest or motion.

This tendency of objects to resist or oppose change in their state of rest or motion is called inertia.

Mass of an object is the measure of its inertia.

  • Elements are arranged in the periodic table in the increasing order of their relative atomic masses.
  • Mendeleev divided his periodic table in eight groups and seven periods.
  • Groups from I to VII are meant for normal elements and group VIII is for transition elements.
  • Groups from I to VII have been divided in two sub groups, while group VIII is meant for three elements.
  • Periods from 4th to 7th have been divided in two series: 1st series and 2nd series.
  • Elements having similar properties have been kept in the same group. For example; lithium, potassium, rubidium, etc. are in 1st group.

The relations between the Centre and the States in political, economic, financial and administrative spheres have been periodically reviewed. The Administrative Reforms Commission and the Sarkaria Commission were appointed to review the whole gamut of relations between the Centre and the States and to recommend measures, including changes in the Constitutional provisions, to harmonise the relationship between the Centre and the States. While the Government has accepted and implemented several recommendations of the Administrative Reforms Commission, the recommendations of the Sarkaria Commission are under consideration in the Inter-State Council (ISC) which is trying to reach a consensus on various issues. Out of the 247 recommendations of the Sarkaria Commission, the Inter-State Council has taken a decision on 91 recommendations. These recommendations pertain to All India Services, Administrative Relations, Deployment of Union Armed Forces, Agriculture, Forest, Food, Civil Supplies, Mines and Minerals, Trade, Commerce, Mass Media etc. The re-activisation of ISC has opened a new chapter in the Centre-State relations and provided a useful forum for building a common national approach on various issues.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 6 months ago

“Centre-State relations” of Indian Federalism constitute the core of federalism and they are regulated by the provisions of the Constitution.
(i) The division of powers between the Union and the States, as given in the Indian Constitution has a strong bias in favour of the Centre. Various kinds of restrictions are imposed upon the states.
(ii) Administrative relations. The Indian Constitution is based on the principle that the executive power is co-extensive with the Legislative power i.e., Union and state executives can deal with all matters on which legislature legislates.
(iii) In the administrative affairs also the centre acquires control over states through All India Services, Grant-in-Aid etc.
Hence, restructuring of the centre-state relations is one more way in which federalism has been strengthened in practice.
