Given :
Cuboid
Length (l)= 15cm,
Breadth (b)= 10cm ,
Height (h)= 3.5cm.
Cone (3)
Radius (r) = 0.5cm ,
depth = height of the cone(h) = 1.4cm.
Required to solve : Volume of the entire stand = ?
Volume of the entire stand = Volume of the cuboid - 3*Volume of the cone.
=>(l*b*h) - 3*[1/3*pi* r^2* h]
=>(15*10*3.5) - 3*[1/3* 22/7* 0.5* 0.5* 1.4]
=>525 - 3*[1/3* 22* 0.050]
=>525 - 3*[1/3* 1.1
=>525 - 3/3* 1.1
=>525 - 1* 1.1
=>525 - 1.1 = 523.9 cu.cm

Following diagram shows the magnetic field lines around a bar magnet.

The properties of magnetic lines of forces are:
1) The direction of magnetic field lines outside the magnet sis from North Pole to South Pole.
2) The direction of magnetic field lines inside the magnet is from south pole to the north pole.
3) No two magnetic field lines intersect each other.

Corrosion is one of the most common phenomena that we observe in our daily lives. You must have noticed that some objects made of iron are covered with some orange or reddish-brown coloured layer at some point in time. The formation of this layer is the result of a chemical process known as rusting, which is a form of corrosion.

During white washing, lime is dissolved in water and the slaked lime solution formed is applied on the walls and roofs. This slaked lime reacts slowly with carbon dioxide of air and forms a thin shining layer of calcium carbonate.
CaO + H2O → Ca(OH)2
Ca(OH)2 + CO2 → CaCO3 + H2O

Myopia
- Near-sightedness : A person with Myopia can see nearby objects clearly
- A person with myopia cannot see faraway objects clearly.
- The far point for the myopic eye is nearer than infinity
- Occurs due to
- Excessive curvature of the eye lens
- Elongation of eyeball
- The image of a distance object is formed in front of the retina and not on the retina
- Defected is corrected by using Concave lenses such that the lens will bring the image back on to the retina.

Resistivity = (R x A)/length
Radius = 0.25mm = 0.00025 m
length = 75m
Resistance = 10 ohms
Area of cross section = πr^2
= 22/7 x 0.00025 x 0.00025
Resistivity =
(10 x 22/7 x 0.00025 x 0.00025 ) ÷ 75
= (220/7 x 0.00025 x 0.00025)/75
= 2.63 x 10(-8) ohmmeter

The division of power between the Central and State Governments is done in a three fold distribution of legislative powers between the Union and the State Governments.
There are three lists - Union List, State List and Concurrent List.
(i) Union List: It includes subjects of national importance, e.g., defence of the country, foreign affairs, banking, communication and currency. The Central Government alone can make decisions on these matters.
The aim of including these matters in Union List is to ensure uniformity in the policy of these areas throughout the country.
(ii) State List: It consists subjects of state and local importance such as police, trade, commerce, agriculture and irrigation. The State Governments alone can make laws and decisions on these areas.
(iii) Concurrent List: It includes those subjects which are of common interest to both the Central as well as State Governments. It includes matters like education, forests, marriage and trade unions. Both the State and Central Governments can make decision on these matters.
