When power is taken away from Central and State Governments and given to local government, it is called decentralisation. A major step towards decentralisation was taken after the amendment of Constitution in 1992.
The different provisions are
(i) It is constitutionally mandatory to hold regular elections to govemment’bodies.
(ii) Seats are reserved for the Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
(iii) At least one-third of all positions are reserved for women.
(iv) The State Election Commission (SEC) has been created in each state to conduct Panchayat and Municipal election.

(i) Abolition of Zamindari system.
(ii) Ceiling on landholdings where maximum limit towards ownership was fixed by government.
(iii) Consolidation of small landholdings into a large one where mechanisation is possible.
(iv) Introduction of any insurance to provide security against failure of crops.
(v) Opening up of rural banks and cooperative societies to provide credit to the farmers at a low interest.
(vi) Announcement of minimum support price to prevent any exploitation of farmers.
(vii) Special weather bulletins and agricultural programmes for farmers were introduced through mass media.

Good conductors are those materials which allow electricity to pass through them easily. Bad conductors are those materials which do not allow electricity to pass through them easily. Copper is considered to be a conductor because it “conducts” the electron current or flow of electrons fairly easily. Most metals are considered to be good conductors of electrical current. Other materials that are sometimes used as conductors are silver, gold, and aluminum.

Lateral displacement is directly proportional to the width or thickness of the glass slab. It is also directly proportional to the angle of incidence. The factors on which lateral displacement of a ray of light passing through a rectangular glass depend are: 1) The thickness of the glass slab: The thicker the glass slab, more is the lateral displacement. 2) Angle of incidence: The lateral shift increases with increase in angle of incidence.
Lateral displacement depends upon the thickness of the glass slab, the angle of incidence and angle of refraction and since these two angles are related by refractive index, we can equally say that the lateral displacement depends upon the refraction index.

Benzoyl peroxide is used in the treatment of acne vulgaris. Benzoyl peroxide is found in cereals and cereal products. Added to bread and cheese as bleaching agent Benzoyl peroxide is an organic compound in the organic peroxide family. It consists of two benzoyl groups joined by a peroxide group. Benzoyl peroxide is an oxidizer which is used as a medication, as a bleach and water disinfectant, and as an important industrial chemical. In specialized contexts, the name may be abbreviated as BPO. As a medication, Benzoyl peroxide is mostly used to treat acne, either alone or in combination with other treatments.

In a rectangular glass slab, the emergent Ray is parallel to the direction of the incident ray. The extent of bending of the ray of light at the opposite parallel faces of the rectangular slab is equal and opposite. This is why the rat emerges parallel to the incident ray. This is because in the case of the glass slab the surfaces (on which light is incident and emerging) are opposite and parallel to each other. Whereas, in the case of a glass prism the surfaces are inclined to each other at some angle.

If light enters any substance with a higher refractive index (such as from air into glass) it slows down. The light bends towards the normal line. If light travels enters into a substance with a lower refractive index (such as from water into air) it speeds up. The light bends away from the normal line. When light rays travel from air into glass or from air into water, it bends towards normal. This is because the speed of light rays decrease while travelling from air into glass or water. Case 2: When light rays travel from optically denser medium to rarer medium then they bend away from the normal.
