The Indian National Forest Policy of 1988 emphatic the protecting role of forests in maintaining ecological balance and environmental stability. preserving the natural heritage of the country . Checking the extension of sand dunes within the desert areas of Rajasthan and on the coastal tracts. The National Forest Policy of 1988 was launched with the principal aim of ensuring environmental stability and maintenance of ecological balance, including atmospheric equilibrium which is essential for the sustenance of all life forms - plant, animal, and human.

Resistance is defined as the property of the conductor which opposes the flow of electric current. It is also defined as the ratio of the voltage applied to the electric current flowing through it.
Resistivity is defined as the resistance offered by the material per unit length for unit cross-section.
| Sl. No. | Differentiating Property | Resistance | Resistivity |
| 1 | Definition | Resistance is the physical property of a substance because of which it opposes the flow of current i.e. electrons. | Resistivity is the physical property of a particular substance which is having particular dimensions. |
| 2 | Proportionality | Resistance is directly proportional to the length and temperature while it is inversely proportional to the cross-sectional area of the material. | Resistivity is only proportional to the nature and temperature of the particular material. |
| 3 | Symbol | R | ρ |
| 4 | Formula | R = V/I or, R = ρ(L/A)V = Voltage, I = Current, ρ = Resistivity |
ρ = (R×A)/L
R = Resistance, L= Length, A = Cross-sectional area |
| 5 | SI Units | The SI unit of resistance is Ohms | The SI unit of resistivity is Ohms-meter. |

Oxygen is very reactive with Alkali metals. Alkali metals are given the name alkali because the oxides of these metals react with water to form a metal hydroxide that is basic or alkaline. Lithium produces an oxide, sodium produces a peroxide, and potassium, cesium, and rubidium produce superoxides. Due to its electronegativity, oxygen forms stable chemical bonds with almost all elements to give the corresponding oxides. Cesium is so reactive with oxygen that it is used as a getter in vacuum tubes.

Denudation of the soil cover and subsequent washing down is known as soil erosion.
Causes of soil erosion:
- Due to human activities like deforestation, overgrazing, construction and mining, etc.
- Natural forces like wind, glacier and water leads to soil erosion.
- The running water cuts through clayey soils and makes deep channels as ‘gullies’. The land becomes unfit for cultivation, this process is called gully erosion and the land is called bad land or ravines in the Chambal basin.
- Sometimes, water flows as a sheet over large areas down a slope. It leads to the washing away of the top soil. This process is called sheet erosion.
- Wind blows loose soil off flat or sloping land, and is called wind erosion.
- Soil erosion is also caused due to defective methods of farming.

A modem is a hardware device which means modulator-demodulator.
modems are used to transfer data from one computer network to another computer network through telephone lines.
the computer network works in digital mode, while analog technology is used for carrying messages across phone lines.
the modulator converts information from digital mode to analog mode at the transmitting end and demodulator converts the same from analog to digital at receiving end.

272 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 17
148 = 2 × 2 × 37
Therefore ,
HCF ( 272 , 148 ) = 2 × 2 = 4
By using Euclid's algorithm :
Since , 272 > 148 , we apply the division lemma to 272 and 148 , to get
272 = 148 × 1 + 124
Since the remainder 124 ≠ 0 , we apply the division lemma to 148 and 124 , to get
148 = 124 × 1 + 24
We consider the new divisor 124 and the new remainder 24 , and apply the division lemma to get
124 = 24 × 5 + 4
We consider the new divisor 24 and the new remainder 4 , and apply the division lemma to get
24 = 4 × 6 + 0
The remainder has now become zero , so our procedure stops , since the divisor at this stage is 4 , the HCF of 272 and 148 is 4
