Frederic Sorrieu was a French artist who in 1848 prepared a series of four prints visualizing his dream of a world made up of ‘Democratic and Social Republics’. The distinct feature of these prints were the representations of men, nations and allegories. In the first of his print, we can see men and women marching across the statue of Liberty to offer homage. The statue holds a torch of enlightenment and the Charter of the Rights of Man. And finally, the remains of the absolutist institutions can be seen broken and shattered on the Earth indicating the end of conservatism and absolutism.
He thus visualised countries as nation states, end of monarchy and democracy.

Answer~ ‘Dust of Snow’ is a beautiful short poem written by Robert Frost. This poem tells that even a simple moment has a large significance. The poet has mentioned crow and hemlock tree in this poem. Crow signifies his depressive and sorrowful mood and hemlock tree is a poisonous tree. Both these signify that the poet was not in a good mood and so he describes the dark, depressive and bitter side of nature to present his similar mood. The poet says that once he was in a sad, depressive mood and was sitting under a hemlock tree. A crow, sitting on the same tree, shook off the dust of snow i.e., small particles of snow that remain on the surface after the snowfall, on the poet. This simple action changed the poet’s mood. He realized that he had just wasted a part of his day repenting and being lost in sorrow. But the change in his mood made him realize that he should utilize the rest of the day in some useful activity. His sorrow was washed away by the light shower of snow dust. His spirit was revived and he got ready to utilize the rest of the day. HOPE IT HELPS YOU?✌

The short poem by Robert Frost throws light upon the unimaginable healing power of nature and tiny things. From a bad mood to ill-health, there is nothing that can’t be cured by nature. The author was experiencing one such bad day when a crow’s movement near a hemlock tree dusted snow upon him. The snow instantly makes him happier. His day gets a lot better. Thus, the supremacy of nature as a whole made him realise how petty his problem was. The fact that hemlock tree is poisonous combined with crow being the indicator of doom and fear are used in the poem as the carriers of happiness in the life of narrator is ironical. The poet, through these objects has tried to highlight that sometimes creatures linked with negative aspects of life can be the bringer of change and happiness. Being outdoors in nature, with all it’s unpredictability can benefit anyone, anywhere at any time. By:–Charu Kandari

Agriculture and industry go hand in hand.
(i) the agro-industries have given a major boost to agriculture by raising its productivity.
(ii) Agriculture needs pumps, fertilizers, insecticides etc, which creates demand for industry to produce such items.
(iii) competitiveness of manufacturing industries as well as efficiency of production processes are both improved.

Black soil is formed by the weathering or breaking of igneous rocks and also by the cooling or solidification of lava from the volcano eruption. Therefore, it is also called as the lava soil. As per the name, black soil is black in colour and is most abundantly found in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and in some southern parts of India, including the Godavari and near to the Krishna valleys.

Black soil are rich in Calcium, Carbonate, Potash and hold moisture, hence it is found sticky when it is wet and cracks when it is dry. As discussed, back soil is formed from the volcano eruption, which is very much fertile and best suitable for intensive agriculture.

1. Parallel circuits provide the same voltage to every source and appliance in the circuit, thus all appliances work efficiently.

2. In a parallel circuit if one appliance is fused, the current continues to flow through the others. Hence other appliances continue to work.

3. The equivalent resistance in the parallel connection of resistors decreases thus, more current than one source can produce is obtained.  Unless all appliances in parallel have the same voltage, current would flow from one source into the other. This will result in loss of power.
