  • A political party contests elections by putting up candidates.
  • In countries like the USA, the candidates are selected by members and supporters of a party.
  • On the other hand, in countries like India, the candidates are chosen by top party leaders.
  • Every party has different policies and programmes. Voters make a choice in accordance with the policies and programmes liked by them.
  • In a democratic country, a large group of people that has certain similar opinions group together and form a party. Then then, give a direction to the policies adopted by the government.
  • Those parties which lose elections form the opposition. They voice different views and criticise the government for their failures and mobilize opposition to the government.
  • Political parties shape public opinion. With the help of the pressure groups, the parties launch movements for solving problems faced by the people.

carbon can neither gain nor lose electrons because 1 If carbon gains 4 electrons to form c4- ions then carbon will have 10 electrons and 6 protons cannot hold on to 10 electrons. 2 If carbon loses 4 electrons to form c4+ ions then a lot of energy is required which is not possible. Hence carbon shares electrons to form covalent bonds.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago

Carbon has four electrons in it's valence, and possess the property of catenation. It forms covalent bonds, and hence, leads to the formation of different elements.
It cannot lose or gain electrons, due to it's tetravalency

Arnav Raj 5 years, 1 month ago

Because it is tertravalent element which have to tendency to share their electrons

Cos A =4/5 so, b/h=4/5 , b =4, h=5 and then tan A =3/4 ,cot A =4/3

A . 5 years, 1 month ago

TanA=3/4 and cotA=4/3

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago

cos A = 4/5

sin A =√1 - cos2 A = √1 - (4/5)2 = √1 - 16/25 =√(25-16)/25 = √9/25 = 3/5

tan A = sinA/cos A = 3/4

ans cot A = cos A /sinA = 4/3

Respected Sir,

Sub: Violence against the aged living alone at home.

I wish to draw your attention towards the security of the aged people living alone at home in Dindigul. Almost every day we find the newspapers full of such incidents. The miscreants rob the people and then murder them. Many times the servants of the house are found involved in these incidents. The aged are the gullible people and are easily made target.

I hope after publishing this letter in your esteemed newspaper, the police will take some necessaiy actions for their safety. Thanking you

Yours faithfully,

Vinitha

Most desert soils are called Aridisols (dry soil). These are porous sandy soils with low nitrogenous matter and humus. These are saline in nature too.

Deserts cover 20 to 33% of the Earth’s land surface, and can be found in the tropics, at the poles, and in between. Desert soils are formed where there is scanty rainfall.
