A thermite reaction is basically iron oxide (rust) reacting with aluminum to produce molten iron. The products are aluminium oxide, elemental iron, and a large amount of heat. The reactants are commonly or thermite mixture is aluminum powder and iron oxide (rust) powder. When the mixture is heated, it starts reacting as the aluminum is more reactive than the iron and aluminium forms stronger and stable bonds with oxygen than iron.

Chhaya Gangwar 5 years, 1 month ago

The thermite reaction is an exothermic reaction between the metal and metal oxide.

We are familiar with air current and water current. We know that flowingwater constitute water current in rivers. Similarly, if the electric chargeflows through a conductor (for example, through a metallic wire), wesay that there is an electric current in the conductor. In a torch, weknow that the cells (or a battery, when placed in proper order) provideflow of charges or an electric current through the torch bulb to glow. Wehave also seen that the torch gives light only when its switch is on. Whatdoes a switch do? A switch makes a conducting link between the cell andthe bulb. A continuous and closed path of an electric current is called anelectric circuit. Now, if the circuit is broken anywhere (or the switch of thetorch is turned off), the current stops flowing and the bulb does not glow.How do we express electric current? Electric current is expressed bythe amount of charge flowing through a particular area in unit time. Inother words, it is the rate of flow of electric charges. In circuits usingmetallic wires, electrons constitute the flow of charges. However, electronswere not known at the time when the phenomenon of electricity was firstobserved. So, electric current was considered to be the flow of positivecharges and the direction of flow of positive charges was taken to be thedirection of electric current. Conventionally, in an electric circuit thedirection of electric current is taken as opposite to the direction of theflow of electrons, which are negative charges.

Electric Current: The flow of electric charge is known as electric current. Electric current is carried by moving electrons through a conductor. By convention, electric current flows in opposite direction to the movement of electrons.

Democracies are based on political equality. All individuals have equal right in electing representatives. Parallel to the process of bringing individuals into the political arena on an equal footing, find growing economic inequalities. A few number of rich enjoy a highly disproportionate share of wealth and incomes. Not only that, their share in the total income of the country has been increasing. Those at the bottom of the society have very little to depend
upon. Their incomes have been declining and sometimes they find it difficult to meet their basic needs of life such as food, clothing, house, education and health.

  • A democratic government is elected by people and the head of the country is elected for a fixed period of time. The head of the state in a non-democratic government is not the representative of the people (as he is not elected by the people) and may continue to remain in power for unspecified period of time.
  • Democracy is based on the idea of deliberation and negotiation. As a result, democratic political systems take time in executing decisions. In a non-democratic government, the leaders need not bother themselves with public opinion, and hence, decision making process in such systems is quicker.
  • In a democracy, decisions of the Government are acceptable to the people and are more effective in redressal of the public’s concerns. Dictators can take decisions that are not acceptable to the public at large.
  • While a democratic government is a legitimate, responsible and accountable to the people, a non-democratic government is not accountable to people.

The story ‘The Hack Driver’ is the story of a hack driver called Oliver Lutkins. He lived at New Mullion. He was an important witness in a court case. The law firm wrote many letters to him but he did not appear before the court. At last, the firm sent a young lawyer to New Mullion to issue summons to Lutkins. The junior assistant clerk did not recognise Lutkins. Lutkins met him at the station. He took the assistant clerk all over the town in search of Lutkins although he himself was Lutkins. He could not serve the summons to Lutkins. He had to return back to the city. But the owner of the legal firm sent him back to New Mullion. He could serve the summons to Lutkins this time`The Hack Driver’ is the story of a very cunning manipulator Bill (Oliver Lutkins). It also shows that appearances are often deceptive. Once, the narrator, a junior clerk in a law firm, had to go to New Mullion to serve a summon to Oliver Lutkins. There he met Bill (Oliver Lutkins), the hack driver. When the narrator asked about Oliver Lutkins, Bill took him to Fritz who replied that Oliver had been there a little while ago. Bill, who was Oliver Lutkins himself, made a plan to befool the narrator. In a very friendly but subtle way, Bill manipulated the tour, taking the lawyer around the village. He arranged meetings with Fritz, Gustaf’s shop owner, a barber etc. Then Bill took him to Oliver Lutkins’ mother who was a terrible, huge woman who threatened to beat them. At last, he returned disappointed. He couldn’t trace Oliver Lutkins. His boss rebuked him badly and asked him to go back to New Mullion with a person who knew Lutkins. When they reached there, he found Bill and Lutkins’ mother together. The man recognised Lutkins. He told that Bill no one but Lutkins himself.

It can be said that the lawyer was gullible. He could have avoided being taken for a ride if he had noticed what the hack driver was doing.The lawyer could have taken control of the proceedings by asking the hack driver to step aside and by doing his work himself.

Let
P(4, m) = (x, y)
A(2, 3) = (x1, y1)
B(6, -3) = (x2, y2)
By using section formula in this points, we get.
Let the ratio in which P divide the line segment A and B be = k:1
Therefore,
x = kx2 + x1(1)/k + 1
=> 4 = 6k + 2 /k + 1
=> 4k + 4 = 6k + 2
=> 2k = 2
=.> k = 1
So, the ratio = 1:1
Now,
y = k(y2) + 1(y1) / k + 1
=> m = -3 + 3 /1 + 1
=> m = 0/2
=> m = 0.

There are no major difference between total resistance and equivalent resistance

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago

The equivalent resistance is where the total resistance connected either in parallel or in series. Electrical resistance shows that how much energy will be required when we move the charges i.e. current through the circuit. If we need lots of energy, then the resistance necessary should also be high. The equivalent resistance of a network is the single resistor which can replace the entire network in such a way that for a certain applied voltage as V we will get the same current as I.

Defection refers to changing part allegiance from the party on which s person got elected to a different party.
The constitution was amended to prevent MLAs and MPs from changing parties. This was done by these representatives in order to become ministers or for cash rewards.
Now the law says that if any MLA or MP indulges in defection, he or she will lose the seat in the legislature.thsi new law has brought defection down but this has also made some MPs and MLAs to accept whatever the party decides.
