Penalties for killing tigers should be strongly enforced. (c) Extremist groups are banning all exotic animal from captivity. This could lead to the end of many species of animals for species whose numbers are extremely low such as clouded leopard. Satyagrahis needed to be properly trained before they would be ready for mass struggle. Satyagrahis needed to be properly trained before they would be ready for mass struggle. Within the Congress, some leaders were by now tried of mass struggle and wanted to participate in elections to the provincial councils. They felt that it was important to oppose British policies within the councils. Younger leaders pressed for more radical mass agitation and for full independence.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago

A magnetic field is a vector field in the neighbourhood of a magnet, electric current, or changing electric field, in which magnetic forces are observable.  A magnetic field is produced by moving electric charges and intrinsic magnetic moments of elementary particles associated with a fundamental quantum property known as the spin.  Magnetic field and electric field are both interrelated to each other and are components of the electromagnetic force, one of the four fundamental forces of nature.

Democracy and economic growth and development have had a strong correlative and interactive relationship throughout history. Democratization of a country from a non-democratic regime is usually preceded by a fall in GDP, and a volatile but expected growth in the long run, While on the other hand authoritarian regimes experience significant growth at the beginning and decline in the long run. The cause of such behavior is that non-democratic regimes, mainly authoritarian ones, are more effective at implementing decisive policies and choices as well as solving ethnic and sub-national conflicts, but are unsustainable in the long run as there is more incentive to extract money from society which in turn leads to less prosperity. Democratic regimes revolve around institutions and policies which lay the foundations, through which principles of liberty and equality are designed and followed, thus directly or indirectly affecting firms or individuals who benefit from the directives and increase their growth, which in turn has a positive impact on economy.

Democracy is associated with higher human capital accumulation, lower inflation, lower political instability, and higher economic freedom. Democracy is closely tied with economic sources of growth, like education levels and lifespan through improvement of educative institutions as well as healthcare. In conclusion, democracy is the best form of government, mostly because of its strong philosophical basis. Democracy places the right level of faith in humanity, gives us the autonomy to choose who rules us, and respects our rights of freedom and equality. Democracy Index by country

Despotic rule of Louis XVI: He became the ruler of France in 1774. He had drained the financial resources of France in wars. For the cost of his regular extravagant expenses, he increased taxes which were paid by the third estate.
Division of French society: The French society was divided into three estates; first, second and third estates, respectively. Among them, First and Second Estates had 10 per cent of the total population and were the clergy and nobles. They enjoyed all privileges. Rest of the 90 per cent was of the third estate, which paid all kinds of direct or indirect taxes. This kind of discrimination led to the revolution by the third estate.
Rising prices: The population of France had increased. This resulted into more demand of food grains. So the price of bread rose rapidly, which the poor could not afford to buy. So the gap between the rich and poor widened.
Inspiration of the philosophers: Philosophers like John Locke, Jean Jacques Rousseau and Montesquieu propagated the ideas of having a society where people would enjoy freedom, equal laws and equal opportunities. Their ideas inspired the people of France to realise their dreams.
Role of middle class: The 18th century witnessed the emergence of social groups termed as middle class, who earned their wealth through an expanding trade of the manufactured goods, being exported. There were other professionals also like lawyers, administrative officials who were all educated. They believed that no group in society should be privileged by birth.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago

Following are the social, economic, political and intellectual causes of the French Revolution:

Social -  In France, the clergy and the nobility formed the first two Estates and were the most privileged classes in the French society. They were exempt from payment of taxes to the State. On the other hand, the Third Estate that consisted of peasants and workers burdened with excessive taxes with no political and social rights. As a result, they were full of discontent.

Economic - As a result of a numerous wars waged by Louis XVI the State coffers were empty. The situation was made even more complex by France’s involvement in the American War of Independence and the faulty system of taxation.

Political - The Bourbon king of France, Louis XVI was an extremely autocratic and weak willed king who led a life of obscene luxury. This led to a lot of disenchantment among the masses who then were leading life of extreme poverty and widespread hunger.

Intellectual - The 18th century was marked by a conscious refusal by French thinkers of the ‘Divine Rights Theory’. Philosophers like Rousseau, rejected the paradigm of absolute monarchy and promulgated the doctrine of equality of man and sovereignty of people.

Disobedience can have a variety of causes. At times, it is due to unreasonable parental expectations. Or it might be related to the child's temperament, or to school problems, family stress, or conflicts between his parents.

Civil disobedience is the active, professed refusal of a citizen to obey certain laws, demands, orders or commands of a government. By some definitions, civil disobedience has to be nonviolent to be called "civil". Hence, civil disobedience is sometimes equated with peaceful protests or nonviolent resistance.

We have given that
Sum of the first n terms = 4n – n2
⇒ Sn = 4n – n2
Put, n = 1, then
S1 = 4(1) – (1)2 = 4 – 1 = 3
⇒ d1 = 3
Hence, the first term is
Put n = 2, then
S2 = 4(2) – (2)2
= 8 – 4 = 4
Hence, the sum of two terms is 4.
Now, second term = S2 – S1 = 4 – 3 = 1
Put n = 3, then
S3 = 4(3) – (3)2
= 12 – 9 = 3
Third term = S3 – S2 = 3 – 4 = –1
Put n = 9, 10
S9= 4(9) – (9)2
= 36 – 81 = –45
S10= 4(10) – (10)2
= 40 –100 = –60
∴ Tenth term = S10 – S9
= – 60 – (–45)
= – 60 + 45 = –15
Now, Sn –1 = 4(n – 1) – (n – 1)2
= (4n – 4) – (n2 + 1 – 2n)
= 4n – 4 – n2 – 1 + 2n
= 6n – n2 – 5
∴ nth term = Sn – Sn – 1
= (4n – n2) – (6n – n2 – 5)
= 4n – n2 – 6n + n2 + 5
= 5 –2n
