The NCERT has issued an official notification clarifying that for the academic session 2026–27, changes will be implemented only for Grade 9 textbooks. Students in Grades 10 and 11 will continue with the existing NCERT books, as no revisions have been made for these classes in the session 2026-27.

Class 10 & 11 NCERT Books in 2027-28
Earlier, NCERT had announced plans to introduce new Grade 11 textbooks in the 2026–27 academic session, with revisions for Classes 10 and 12 scheduled to follow in subsequent years. However, recent developments suggest that the updated textbooks are not yet ready for rollout.
As a result, the initial plan to launch the revised Grade 11 books in 2026–27 has been postponed. According to the latest advisory issued by NCERT, New Delhi, the introduction of new textbooks for both Grade 10 and Grade 11 has now been deferred to the 2027–28 academic session.
This delay indicates that students and schools will continue using the existing NCERT books until the revised editions are officially released.
The introduction of new textbooks for Grades 10 and 11 has been scheduled for the academic session 2027–28. Until then, students will continue using the existing NCERT textbooks across all subjects during the 2026–27 session. This ensures continuity in the curriculum while allowing sufficient time for the development and rollout of the revised books.
