| When a substance undergoes a physical change, its composition remains the same despite its molecules being rearranged. | When a substance undergoes a chemical change, its molecular composition is changed entirely. Thus, chemical changes involve the formation of new substances. |

Regular use of dental floss removes plaque, helping to prevent the buildup of plaque, which can lead to tartar. Simply flossing your teeth can make them look brighter by removing plaque and excess food particles that you may not see in the mirror or in areas that your toothbrush doesn’t reach. Think of a carpet before and after you vacuum. You may not really see the dust and dirt, but once you vacuum and the dust and dirt is removed, the carpet looks brighter. The same principle applies to flossing.
Top 5 Benefits of Flossing Teeth

- Prevents Tartar Build-Up. It doesn't take long for plaque to accumulate on your teeth. ...

Tooth decay is damage to a tooth's surface, or enamel. It happens when bacteria in your mouth make acids that attack the enamel. Tooth decay can lead to cavities (dental caries), which are holes in your teeth. If tooth decay is not treated, it can cause pain, infection, and even tooth loss. Brushing after you eat or drink with a fluoride-based toothpaste can help keep your teeth clean and free of plaque that leads to tooth decay and cavities. Limit your intake of sugary foods and drinks: Candy, sodas and other sugary foods contain sugars that help plaque-forming bacteria survive in your mouth.

Cavities
Cavities are also called caries or tooth decay. These are areas of the tooth that have been permanently damaged and may even have holes in them. Cavities are fairly common. They occur when bacteria, food, and acid coat your teeth and form a plaque. The acid on your teeth starts to eat away at the enamel and then the underlying dentin, or connective tissue. Over time, this can lead to permanent damage.
Gum disease (gingivitis)
Gum disease, also called gingivitis, is inflammation of the gums. It’s usually the result of plaque building up on your teeth due to poor brushing and flossing habits. Gingivitis can make your gums swell and bleed when you brush or floss. Untreated gingivitis can lead to periodontitis, a more serious infection.
Periodontitis
As periodontitis progresses, the infection can spread to your jaw and bones. It can also cause an inflammatory response throughout the body.
Cracked or broken teeth
A tooth can crack or break from an injury to the mouth, chewing hard foods, or grinding the teeth at night. A cracked tooth can be very painful. You should visit your dentist right away if you’ve cracked or broken a tooth.
Sensitive teeth
If your teeth are sensitive, you might feel pain or discomfort after having cold or hot foods or beverages.

The human body is an incredible machine. One of the keys to the operation of the body is the heart. It beats about 101-thousand times a day, about 3-billion times in a lifetime and over that time it'll pump 800-million pints of blood. You breath about 23-thousand times a day. Body organs aren't all internal like the brain or the heart. There's one we wear on the outside. Skin is our largest organ adults carry some 8 pounds (3.6 kilograms) and 22 square feet (2 square meters) of it.

Substituting different values of the variable and checking the equality of LHS and RHS is the trial and error method. Let us solve the equation 3x + 5 = 17. We start to substitute different values of x. The value for which both the sides are balanced is the required solution.
| x | LHS = 3x + 5 | RHS = 17 |
| 1 | 3x + 5 = 3×1 + 5 = 8 | 17 |
| 2 | 3x + 5 = 3×2 + 5 =11 | 17 |
| 3 | 3x + 5 = 3×3 + 5 = 14 | 17 |
| 4 | 3x + 5 = 3×4 + 5 = 17 | 17 |
For x = 4, LHS = RHS. The required solution is x = 4.

Trial and error is a fundamental method of problem-solving. It is characterized by repeated, varied attempts which are continued until success, or until the practicer stops trying. According to W.H. Thorpe, the term was devised by C. Lloyd Morgan (1852–1936) after trying out similar phrases "trial and failure" and "trial and practice". Under Morgan's Canon, animal behaviour should be explained in the simplest possible way. Where behavior seems to imply higher mental processes, it might be explained by trial-and-error learning. An example is a skillful way in which his terrier Tony opened the garden gate, easily misunderstood as an insightful act by someone seeing the final behavior. Lloyd Morgan, however, had watched and recorded the series of approximations by which the dog had gradually learned the response, and could demonstrate that no insight was required to explain it.

Chemical change
A change leading to the production of a new substance is known as a chemical change. These changes are irreversible. Some of the chemical changes occurring in our day to day life include rusting of iron, silver jewellery getting tarnished or copper articles getting covered by green layer.
- In case of rusting of iron, the iron reacts with the oxygen present in air and moisture and develops rust (hydrated iron (III) oxide).
