Show that the modulus function f:R->R, given by f(x)=|x|, is neither one-one nor onto, where |x| is x, if x is positive or 0 and |x| is -x, if x is negative.

Function is not one one because 1is not equal to -1 but f(1) is equal to f (-1) Also, function is not onto because range of this function is positive real numbers and codomain of this function is both positive and negative real number.
